I don't know what it is but everytime he makes a catch its like I'm seeing Givens again.

and he grabbed a bunch again today....looks like BB made the right choice this offseason dropping Bug Eyes and keeping Jabar

Givens was a big strong WR..Gaffney is relatively small in build.

gaffney seems to play a solid role on the #2 receiver spot...

he makes all the tough catches like Givens used to.

I know one thing.......HE'S NO RECHE CALDWELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :rocker: :bricks:

No, I don't think of Jabar as Givens.

I think Jabar is an excellent #4, maybe a good #3 but he is no Givens.

He isn't hurt enough. :D

Can any player play here without being compared to one of our ex-players? Can't anyone just be themselves?

Jabar is better than Givens

I'm starting to wonder whether Jabar doesn't deserve reps ahead of Stallworth

Gaffney was hot tonight and had several timely catches including the flea flicker that must have seemed to him to take an hour to arrive in his hands. Steady WR who seems to sub for Welker and is very effective in doing so.

How this makes him like David Givens, I have no clue. Completely different receivers.

Last year #10 came up big in the playoffs. Now he's coming up big again as the days get shorter. Maybe he's just clutch.

I think that they are pretty different players. Givens was a great run-blocking WR. And he made catches like Wes Welker, where seemingly every catch is just enough for a first down.

Without checking the stats, eyes and memory tell me that
Gaffney is logging more catches than Stallworth recently.
Perhaps even more throws to him.

Can Stallworth be drawing doubles ... at the same time Moss and Wes are on the field?
You wouldn't think so.
So WHY is Gaffney currently outproducing Stallworth?

2nd year in the system...familiarity with what Brady wants...it's not like Gaffney just snuck up on anybody this season...he's been a pretty adequate receiver his whole career
