First let me say that I was at the game. So I paid a lot of money to watch this loss. Even with that being said, as my sister & I walked out of the stadium, neither of us felt nearly as bad as we thought we would. I think that is attributable to: 1. The first three quarters were unenjoyable and stressful to watch. So much so that I was just relieved for the game to be over, one way or the other. 2. Pats were outplayed & outcoached and deserved to lose. This was in marked contrast to the loss to the Colts last year. In that game, with a 21-3 lead, my emotions were already sky high expecting a win, so losing felt that much worse. In this game, at no point did I think NE would win. Even when they scored at the end, I didn't feel safe. 3. Giants are kind of a milquetoast team. Not like the sting of losing to the Colts or Cowboys or similar team. All in all, of course losing completely sucked, but I just didn't feel as bad as I thought, despite the historical once-in-a-lifetime implications. Anyone else in a similar boat?
