Unpossible. Guns are the cause of violence.
I've never bought into the story that non-police, non military would be completely overwhelmed and make a mass killing worse. I've been in the military and known many police. It's not like you transform, or the military is cut from some radically different cloth than other Americans. Even people that appear to have no business in such an occupation figure out what to do when bullets start coming at them.
I have a great deal of faith in my fellow Americans that the ratio of good people will always be vastly larger than the ratio of bad people. Which is why I'm not in favor of making the ratio of good people with guns smaller than the ratio of bad people with guns.
I really wish all psycho killer incidents ended like this one.
Perhaps per the practice for individual shootings for those who point out the downside of gun ownership, this should be merged into our most recent gun thread.
Or, let's not do it when we post about other shootings.
One or the other, right?
Kind of an inane comment when, in fact, it was a gun which started the whole thing.
oh jeez......here's a freaking hanky......
I say let the mods, moderate and don't try to influence them...this is not a democracy!
but I am sure the instigator would be the first one to turn his gun in
you make me laugh
Interesting choice of "gun story," Icy. So much to choose from in a week - tell me, what motivated this one in particular?
Why not one of these, instead?
(Or do you just like the exceptions rather than the rule?)
stop it......it tickles
... and let the deflections begin ............
We have our own professionals haters in the forum ... they cringe at threads they hate.
I post what I see ... did hubby post about all charity organizations or just SPLC?
I think I could support armed police or guards at mental facilities(seriously)...especially since gun rights folks think mental patients shouldn't ever have their rights to bear arms infringed on. After all we need these mental patients to help fill the ranks of our well regulated militia. That is what the founding fathers intended or so I've been told by our resident 2nd amendment experts.
I think the good Doctor knew something about the dangers of mental patients with guns. Good for him.
Great story, the media usually doesn't like reporting when the good guy wins with a gun, if that guy had killed the doctor the screwballs on The Today Show and the rest of the morons on MSNBC would be going nuts today with all of their "gun grabbing crap".
Good Work Doc.
Really? And you just happened to miss all 6 of the stories I posted? Including the one from Minnesota which has gone national?
That would be something you'd need to take up with him....his threads have nothing to do with my posts in threads other than his own.
I post what I see ... you don't like it it's your problem ...
I don't answer to you .... keep on hating Mrs. PF ... keep on hating.
This one was a great story ... several people are not having funerals planned for them.
Aren't you happy about that?
Or are you miserable because you hate the story?
Who the %@!& EVER said mental patients SHOULD have guns????Read much????
It was? So the gun walked into the office, and pulled its own trigger? "Unpossible!"
It was refreshing to see that story posted, the media trys to hide those story's, glad to read it on here it sure as hell won't make the nightly news, story's like that make the Left Wing Media very nervous.
Jeasus, Icy. Who's "hating," here? You're the only one who's ranting and railing and making accusations. I don't care what you post. If I disagree with it, I disagree with it. Doesn't mean I "hate" anything or anyone.
Really? You know that for sure, how? You have a magic 8 ball that says X-number of people would have been killed?
Sure. I'm glad it worked out for everyone but the poor woman who got killed. I'd be far happier it there were laws which made it impossible for a mentally ill person to get a gun and that one poor women didn't get killed in the first place. Wouldn't you? Or would that make you miserable because then you couldn't find stories like this one because there would be no need for them?
Separate names with a comma.
