.... after watching the packers lions game today in which Matt Flynn threw for over 400 yards and broke the packers record for passing yards in a single game (mind you it was snowing a lil) do you still think Aaron Rodgers is the best QB in the NFL today?
I for one believe the supporting cast he has is the best in the NFL,and he isnt the best QB in the NFL right now. Keep in mind that Matt Flynn did what he did today to the LIONS (who are a real good defensive team) ....

I'm a homer, but after this season it's really hard to pick a clearcut favorite. I do think that Brees deserves the MVP at this point though.

I have never wavered from my belief that Brady is the best QB in the game. Rodgers had the best season though. Each of the 3 best QBs (not including Peyton for now) were throwing to elite weapons.

    Maybe

Although I no longer think he should be in the MVP discussion.

    Brees, Brady, Rogers

    In that order

    Never did.

Gotta be impressed with Flynn, he didn't even have Greg Jennings today.

Matt Flynn is a decent QB. Brady's cast isn't too shabby, either. I'm not sure there is a right answer and I'd argue that it's impossible to discern a clear best out of Brady, Rodgers and Brees

i agree with the order of alignment.....
btw just heard on NFLN someone just said that ARod should be MVP because he is the reason his team has won all the games and he is the reason their offense is so good...... really?

You can honestly make a case for any one of Brady/Brees/Rodgers now.
    All 3 are that good

    Brady/rodgers/brees are all number ones.

What flynn did today IMO shows flynns talent more than anything. Does not really undermine rodgers performance this season at all. Did you guys see the type of throws flynn was making? How the hell did this guy move all the way down to 7th ?

Rodgers and Brees are both great QBs, but Brady has just posted two consecutive historically great seasons, essentially without the benefit of WRs.

Yes, we have two great TEs and one of the best slot receivers ever, but the fact that Brady is more or less restricted to throwing inside the numbers due to his personnel makes what he has done all the more impressive; and in my opinion, better than what Rodgers and Brees have done with more well-rounded supporting casts.

Personally, I think that Brian Waters deserves votes for MVP. Without him, the Pats don't go 13-3. Though he gave up a sack today, he's been the best O-lineman this year for the Pats.. Especially considering the uncertainty at both Center and RT he's had to deal with..

That being said, I know he'll get no votes because the MVP isn't ever given to anyone but a QB or maybe a RB..

All three top QBs have great supporting casts.

Rodgers has Jennings, Finley, Jordy Nelson, Donald Driver, and James Jones. They also have James Starks and Ryan Grant at RB.

Brady has Welker, Gronkowski, Hernandez, and Branch. And in the running game, there is Woodhead, Ridley, and BJGE.

Brees has Colston, Meachem, Henderson, Moore, Graham with Sproles, Pierre Thomas and Chris Ivory for the running game.

But when you look at everything, I think that the Brady led Pats over-came the most because of the injuries on the O-line. Vollmer playing in only 3 games. Losing Koppen for the season. Connolly missing a few games, Mankins going down last week.

That, and the fact that the Pats coming from behind the way they did the last 2 weeks should help push Brady up ahead. But, either one of the three deserves it.

In all honesty, though, I wouldn't be surprised if Cam Newton gets a lot of votes because without him, the Panthers don't rebound the way they did this year.

You people dissing Rogers because of the game Flynn had today sound like the Pats-haters who say Brady's nothing special because of the year Cassell had in 2008.

One from the trio will likely win the SB and the one that does will be the man as usual.

MVP voting happens before the SB. And besides that it's only supposed to take into account the regular season.

It's different though...Brady never got overshadowed by his backup during 07. 08 was just Cassell managing one of the best teams of all time.

the thing is, rodgers had no choice. HIs coach wanted to sit him. Do you really think if rodgers had played, he would not get 5-6 TDS?
