I went for choice 3. I, a confessed Peyton Manning hater years ago, feel badly for him that a tough injury has perhaps ended his career, and certainly his season. I feel bad for the players on the Colts who are trying to play hard, like certain members of their defense, who until last night, seemed to be trying to keep the team in it.

I feel a little joy, though, when I think of Polian and the owner, and how much they've hated the Pats over the years, tried to stack the "competition" committee to favor themselves and have smugly proclaimed (with that dumbass Mike Felger carrying their bags [not recently though]) that you could pay lots now to a few players, let other good players go, and not suffer tomorrow under the salary cap. Ha ha ha ha I say to that.

But, lets face it, the league is like a shark, it just keeps moving, and if you don't move along too you'll get eaten. Yesterday's Colts are today's Packers or even Bills. We shouldn't be too smug because there but for the grace of God go us. What would we do if Brady went down? Yeah, we did okay with Cassell, but that's when the defense still had some of its superbowl stars and Randy Moss still played receiver. Could Hoyer or the frosh come in and run a complex offense 24/7? I hope we never get to find out.

Go Pats. Tough luck Colts. On to the Steelers!!

Your suggested answer did it for me:

No way. Let the goobers suffer!

Ummmm, NO ! If that was US, Holy Tony Dungy would be the first to say it was Gods vengence upon the devils to the east and for them to be smiyth and die by the sword of righteousness. :D Ride off into the sunset COLTS !!:bricks:

Nope. If it was Brady instead I know they and the rest of the league wouldn't feel bad.

I don't feel sorry for them.

Although, I'd rather see the Jests in that position

I feel bad that the Saints kicked two field goals. That means they left 8 points on the field, those slackers. 70-7 would have had a nice ring to it.

Like one of those early season matchups of Oklahoma vs. the North Texas School of Stenography.

If I felt bad for them and they ended up with the first pick I could never forgive myself. Seriously I do not hate the Colts except for Polian - I wish him nothing but the worst as head of the Colts. The Colts fans are okay now that they won a SB.

I feel bad for some Colts fans. There's quite a few who post on an NFL board I partake in and they're good guys. There are others not so much. Polian cannot get enough grief for my liking however.

More than anything I'm sad the game between the Pats and Colts doesn't mean as much as prior years. I always circled it on the calendar and looked forward to it. Great non divisional rivalries have a shelf life and like the Steelers vs Raiders of the 70's or Cowboys vs 49ers of the 90's this one will end. It's like Bird with no Magic this year which sucks. I don't know if Colts fans felt this way in 2008 but they have.

On the upside should Manning return to health and the Colts the Patriots luckily have the AFC South next year so they'll be on the schedule. Any other year it would be the double whammy of missing it two straight years.

Screw them all. If Brady went down and the Pats were winless, Colts fans and fans all over the league would be jumping up and down for joy speaking about karma and how Belichick is only good because of Brady.

Exactly. Screw the Colts' ownership, front office, players, and fans. Screw'em all. I have less than zero sympathy for any of them.

I feel bad that the Saints kicked two field goals. That means they left 8 points on the field, those slackers. 70-7 would have had a nice ring to it.

I was rooting for the Saints to set the all-time NFL scoring record against them.

I don't feel bad at all, but it would be sweeter if all those losing would be while Braniac was playing,

Why should i feel sorry for the colts, they made their bed now they can sleep in it. Polian never drafted Paytons replacement, he spent his time having the Rules altered in favor of the Colts.

Polian has almost single-handedly destroyed defense in the NFL. Do I feel bad for the Colts? Hell no, I hope a thousand losing seasons on their franchise.

No. The only colt I have any respect for is Jeff Saturday. The guy seems like a good guy, and showed class and professionalism in his appreciation for bob kraft. I also seem to recall him saying alot of nice stuff about the Pats as an organization. Don Brown (from UCONN) might be another guy as he seemed like a nice kid in college.....but once he went to the dark side...who knows. The rest of the organization is classless. Polian (and God-dell) DESTROYED the game of pro football with all their rule changes to help Manning and the colts win......Now the only teams that get away with that kind of BS on defense....are the Jests.....go figure.....F' THe COlts!!!!!!

Colts have been a joke since Irsay bought the team and snuck out of Baltimore in the middle of the night. They would still be a joke if not for Paymetons. Without him, they are reverting back to their joke form.....couldn't happen to a better organization.

This thread really pisses me off and I find question deeply offensive! Having sat through the season that gave us the right to draft Bledsoe and having watched Bobby Greir blow one draft after another, I could care less about other teams rough times.
Sorry but I've been a Pats fan for too long to waste a second on the misfortunes of other teams. I've had enough of our own hard times prior to the last decade.
Its incredible that so many people think that this franchise started in 2001.

I don't feel sorry for them.

Although, I'd rather see the Jests in that position

That would require the JEST to have a good QB they could lose. . . .

I felt a little sorry of Saturday and I think Reggie Wayne or whoever it was they kept showing who looked like he was about to cry.

But not in the least do I feel sorry for the organization as a whole. You made your bed, now lie in it.

Not really, but I did wonder, with media and fans saying this collapse proves that Manning is the GOAT, has anyone mentioned that Bill Pollian (sp?) clearly isn't the amazing drafter that some have said!

All these amazing drafted players can't do sh!t without Peyton!

i have an easy fix for them, but they should've borrowed it since week 1 . Our 2008 coaching manual to go 11-5!!!
