Galloway is not a rookie,We are talking about a long term veteran WR who has caught passes from more than one QB in Tampa,Dallas and Seattle - You can give a rookie or even a two or three year player time to develop but saying Galloway needs time as a 10 year veteran who amassed more than 10,000 yards to develop a sync with Brady is just reaching for the stars,If it was going to click it between them it probably would have been long ago.
I'm well aware that Galloway is not a rookie - the very fact that he isn't means that he has spent alot of times in systems probably very different to the New England set-up.
How do you define 'long ago'?
Seriously - he's played 3 meaningful games with Brady, and a struggling Brady at that.
Do you mean 'long ago' as in game 1...ie the first game they played together?
I think Galloway is simply a guy like Marvin Harrison and Troy Brown who had seen their best years pass them by,they slowed down and were not really much of a factor anymore for whatever reasons they were besides speed and age.
Galloway still has his speed - he's made some poor plays - probably a result of thinking too much and not playing instinctively
Marvin Harrison is out of the league because he wants too much money.
We waited and waited for guys like Chad Jackson and Bethel Johnson to come around...they never did and to think it would take a 10 year veteran half a season to get patterns down right in NE is proposterous let alone a 2 year player.
Again 'half a season' is 8 games - the actual amount of time they have played together is 3 games or less than 19% of a season.
Guys like you always have to exaggerate or mislead in order to make your points.
Chad Jackson and Bethel Johnson never did show any aptitude to understand the complexities of an NFL defense.
Galloway clearly has - as you've already noted he has played under multiple QB's and been successful - I would understand that to mean he has had to vary his game to suit each QB.
You can't question his mental ability to process NFL offenses - he's already proven he can do it.
You can question his physical ability - but then i'd suggest that his failings (flinching on a TD catch, stepping out of bounds before catching a TD) are merely mental lapses.
I have seen no evidence of a serious deterioration of his physical skill set.
