I'm doing the best I can fellahs to jump in as a regular poster on the boards who speaks mostly about football, Sox, Political or whatever else presents itself but unfortunately, some of you can't accept my opinion on topics in this board without having to throw in a dig or an uninformed comment about my profession. I guess by the way I introduced myself, I partially deserve it, but somehow I think that even if I just started posting sports in general with no mention of my career, in short time, someone would out it and the same childish comments would come from a small few of you. So, I started this thread to allow you to ASK QUESTIONS instead of assume, accuse or insult me or those that do what I do. First, I'm going to address the DISEASE issue that someone with the nick Terry Glenn is a Cowgirl likes to post over and over again. It must be easy for some who lead a relatively normal life to assume that all porn stars are carrying diseases because they have sex as an occupation. Truth be told, adult stars that work in Los Angeles, on a regular basis, are far cleaner then the average single woman living a normal life in mainstream America. Our industry is regulated and policed by guidelines, doctors and production companies whereas we can't even shoot a film unless we have a current STD/HIV test on file. The standard requirement is that we test every 30 days but most of us actually test every two weeks. The girl you pick up in the bar...the average single chick...she tests once or twice in a ten year span and most of the time it's when something doesn't seem right down there. Further, even though I've shot over 200 scenes in the last six years, it really has only worked out to about 40 different people. There are not that many proven men in this business who can perform on command and do a good scene so I frequently work with the same talent over and over again. And lately, since I'm nearing the end of my career, there's only 8 guys on my list that I will even work with. Can we still contract something from this line of work? Of course we can. If someone I work with breaks the circle of cleanliness and has a one night stand with some club chick or whoever, they could be bringing the funk right back into the talent pool. But because we're tested so frequently, it's quickly discovered and handled. People commonly say, "But you just had that big HIV breakout in porn a few years ago." Yes we did. Six people got it. Six people out of thousands. Six people in over ten years. To give you an example of how amazing that is, in Los Angeles alone, outside of the porn pool, nearly 3000 cases of HIV were discovered last year alone. And within our arena, considering about 80,000 scenes are shot per year, a grand total of 6 people contracting HIV is pretty darn amazing. So while you may not like what I do. While you may think you're better then me, that's fine. But don't start making false allegations with information you don't know just cause ya feel like it. It's not fair and it's just rude. If you have any other questions about anything adult, even fun things, I'll be happy to answer them in this thread. As far as my responses in other threads. I'll do my best to keep them on the topic...do me a favor and return the courtesy so that the people who are here to enjoy SPORTS talk don't have to deal with your trivial mentality. Thanks!
