KFFL Reports:
Patriots | C. Jackson back at practice
Sun, 30 Jul 2006 07:31:49 -0700

John Tomase, of the Boston Herald, reports New England Patriots rookie WR Chad Jackson (hamstring), who missed the first day of camp with a tweaked hamstring, took the practice field at the end of the first session Saturday,
July 29.

--------------------------------------
I think this could be misleading. He may have been on the practice field but
he probably did not practice with the team. So he was probably still PUP.
Did anyone see him practice?

I've learned to believe everything Tomase says is a lie or close to it. Chad Jackson went out there yesterday in shorts and a tshirt did some light jogging after practice and then signed autographs.

A lot of the PUPers do that..did that last year and....Tomnase just doesn't undrstand that...

That is probably true ... thing is he must have seen the other PUPs out there
but didn't say Chad and others were back of the field.
Anyone not reading this board and the other reports could come away thinking
Chad is back to practicing. No big deal, but I wonder if Tomnase was reporting
just to get attention.

Tomase obviously read this:

A note in today’s Herald mentions wide receiver Chad Jackson taking the field at the end of yesterday’s first practice session. While true, it should be noted that Jackson wasn’t wearing pads and was merely doing some conditioning runs. He’s on the physically unable to perform list, which means he’s not allowed to partake in practice. He’s still coming back from a sore hamstring.

Easy, big fella. This is a bit over the line. I don't think he's a liar at all. Sometimes he reports things we don't like to hear, but overall he's a good guy and a good writer.

Umm.. No, actually, he's not. Tomase is a hack. He has been since his days at the Lawrence Eagle Tribune. I don't care what Tomase is like in person, but overall, I've seen better writing from High School Newspapers than I have from Tomase.

His long piece last week on the 2 TE Offense was one of the best in-depth articles I've read in a long time.

Fox Sports probably got it from the Boston Media.
