The Red Cross is a gigantic corp just as big and just as greedy and slimey as Bank Of America and Haliburton.

"Haliburton" now there's a word you don't hear much anymore (bush is gone)

So you did not read the guys blog, he tends play the race card big time...

Just the same old puke, over and over again...

BTW the taxpayer pays for Haliburton, the Red Cross relies on Charity.. a slight difference.

I didn't read the blog, but do know from past disasters, that the Red Cross will divert funds from a specifice disaster and put it in a fund for other incidents. Wouldn't call this stealing, but does have ethical implications. Not that that has anything to do with what may be in this blog.

From what I've heard about the Red Cross, they do sometimes divert funds to a general fund in order to constantly have a significant amount of money available in the event of sudden disasters. But they also, I believe, do use all money that is specifically allocated to a certain cause for that cause. It's merely a practice that keeps the organization prepared to deal with things as they come. And sometimes using funds specifically as they were allocated doesn't end up being the best idea. A former Red Cross worker that I'm acquainted with told me that when he worked for the organization that they had a bank account with 17 million dollars in it that they could not touch because the money had been donated with the caveat that it be used to help after the 1989 SF earthquake.
