Police called on retirees at senator's LA office

    Why?

It's nice to see how Democrats are treating 'old people'.:singing::singing: It's their way or no way at all.:singing::singing:

See what happens when you don't do what they say? They want to lock you up. Welcome to a new and improved Democratic Communist party.:singing::singing::singing:

Why did Feinstein treat old people worser than criminals?:singing:

Not enough singing emoticons to be truly convincing IMO.

They should have got some Black Panthers in para-military costumes with billy clubs. No one would make them leave.

Have to wonder if they were sitting in because of the right wing lies and hysteria about euthanasia that is allegedly in the health care bill... 85+ folks are covered by Medicare...

So in "Roger and Me," Michael Moore is kicked out of Roger Smith's office in GM (you know, the old GM, the "private-sector" GM.)

How can the US only now become a communist state, when someone had security called on him before 2009?

We've been commies all along, evidently, because people have been kicked out of offices by those offices' inhabitants throughout American history.

My God. It's worse than the Masons thing... the founding fathers were COMMIES!!!

55-87 y.o. activists? Haha. Old white racist males are going the way of the dodo bird. It's comical.

AARP is one of the biggest lobbyists in Washington. Seniors are one of if not the most influential voting block in all elections- nothing new there with older people trying to get a message out.

Since when is "have to wonder" about blame... if you go to the website of CARA they seem to be a relatively benign organization.. wonder what set them off, as they are already on medicare and that is not scheduled to change..

Do you have a better explanation?????

At the time GM was a private entity, OTOH Feinstein is (supposedly) a public servant and her location a public business. I realize this doesn't make any difference to lefties since they feel the government should own everything.

What happened to protest being a patriotic act.

So basically, any individual crackpot should be able to shut down any government office?

Since there are some hundreds of thousands of people in each electoral district, any congressional district, and since there some millions in each state (save the tiny ones like Alaska), what happens if neither house is able to evict "the people" from their offices, if they have no scheduled appointment?

Obviously Feinstein's office offered to do business with that group of people in a businesslike way. They were not there to meet with anybody. They were there so a crackpot could make the argument that it's communism when they are eventually, inevitably, kicked out.

Okay, so it's protest, not a legitimate request to be heard. Grandstanding, in other words.

In other words, it is not "turning the US into a Communist state" to have them removed; it is, in fact, "turning the US into the same state it always was," since this is nothing new.

Protest noted; evidently they had concerns and they expressed them. Whoop de doo. I'd be more concerned if their concerns were reality-based, but bully for them anyway. Protest is patriotic; so is coherence. I suppose half a loaf is better than none, in this sense. At least they weren't trying to get press through some anemic teabagging party... actually, there weren't enough of them even for that. But really, I am glad they made a scene and gave a blogger one day's feeding.

The original post title, however, is predictably misleading.

It's been all downhill since the passing of Claude Peppers.
