Have read that they are having trouble busing in enough students and folks from Black Churches (gay marriage issue?) to fill the stadium like they did in 2008. So they are going to move the speech to a much smaller venue and spin it as being whether related:

In other news, Romney received a 1% bump from the RNC convention. My question is, does that include the 3% margin for error?

I read in a few places that they've been handing out free tickets all over the place, in hopes of trying to fill the joint. Look, the fan fare isn't what it was in 2008. It's not even close. This election is a dead heat between two candidates no one really wants to see elected. People don't want Obama cuz they don't like where he's taking us, nor the job he's done. They don't want Romney cuz they see him as a zillionaire vulture capitalist who's changed positions with the weather. In the end, this election will be decided in the final days of the campaign.

Just a guess, but I'd wager that 70,000 people might have stood out in the rain in 2008 to hear Obama speak. It just happens to be 2012.

No real effect on the election; it just tells us what we already know.

I took offense at the "fat**ed" comment and posted a pic of an overweight Republican but immediately had second thoughts.

I mean, I thought to myself, "You're better than that," realized I did not have to retaliate in kind and quickly went back and removed it.

From the 74K stadium to the 20K venue because of the threat of clouds.

Mark this down. Watch as the state run media then comment on how packed the stadium is with "thousands gathering outside the stadium to get in".
never mentioning how tickets were being passed out like hooker pamphlets on the strip in Vegas.

They couldn't gather a crowd even with the promise of a concert. Wow.

Only a 30% chance of storms early dropping to 0% by 10pm as per intellicast.

    Spin away dems.

Well, normally I wouldn't have....but your comments recently about how offensive you found it to be when someone like Darryl or Patters made a blanket statement about conservatives and how you felt it was personally directed at you because you were a member of that political group, got me to thinking that maybe you're right and I should begin taking any blanket statement about liberals to also be a personal insult.

Patters makes blanket statements like calling all Republicans racists. Not that he disagrees with their ideas or practices, just flat out calls Republicans something repulsive. So, yeah, I think that's a little different. Kind of like how all Democrats are alcoholic, wife-beating pedophiles.

That's wrong khayos. I do not call all Republicans racist. I may say that racists tend to go to the Republican Party, that Republican policies support racist ideas, that the Tea Party includes a lot of racists, but I have tried to never call "all Republicans racist." That said, it's not against the rules of the forum if you happen to believe that Democrats are alcoholic, wife-beating pedophiles, though at some point that kind of incendiary claim will disrupt the forum enough that the moderators will take some sort of action.

The Democrats say they have 65,000 ticket holders who went through a multi-stepped vetting process and another 20,000 on waiting lists. In fact, they said they plan several events for ticket holders who will not be able to attend because of the change of venue. The fact is that Obama does not have much trouble attracting large crowds, certainly larger than Romney's, although clearly the crowds are not what they were in 2008. After the dismal failure of the Republican convention, where more people watched the bizarre speech by Eastwood, than the namby-pamby one by Romney, I suppose Republicans are forced to find something with which to denigrate the Obama campaign.

    How the mighty have fallen.

Obama is going to lose badly this Nov. The warm and fuzzy vibe is not there anymore and no grandiose speech is going to get it back. Lots of his supporters from 2008 have graduated from college to find no jobs in their respective fields in 2012. They want to work when Obama promises interest free school loans and health insurance until theyre 26.

The thrill is gone and so is Obama.

More lies like the 4 million jobs Obama claims to have created.

Where are these jobs? People that I know that are not employed dont know either.
