Well isn't that nice. I wonder how people in Kansas will feel, paying for insurance for beach front properties in Palm Beach FLA.

Insurance subsidies...why the fu(k not? The corporate government subsidizes everyone else....Why stop there? Let's just nationalize all the corporations and call the US what it is - the Union of North American Socialist Republik (UNASR).

They'd better plan on giving me free earthquake insurance (not covered by regular insurance) too then. What works for Florida should work for California too, right ?

Would this also apply to other catastrophic weather events, i.e. tornadoes, mudslides, ice storms, tsunami's etc or is it exclusive to hurricanes..

If it is advocated by insurance companies, would be very skeptical of this..

The whole thing is crazy. If you live in a higher risk area you pay extra insurance. Or you live somewhere else. Just like I pay extra earthquake insurance.

Why should I subsidize some arse wipe in Florida? If I build my home on the side of a cliff, should that be someone else's problem, or my own? Why don't we just take everyone's wages, put them in a pool, and divide them equally through the entire population.

Yes. Apparently there was some bizarre short circuit between brain and fingers.
    I think UASS works better.
