I was reviewing the latest Jets screw-ups, and the Vegas football line for 2013.

It suddenly dawned on me that the Pats are favorites for HFA in the AFC, and might just be Super bowl bound once again.

I then recalled that the game is to be played at the Meadowlands, and I can hear the Jets fans screaming that BB and his "Chowds" were Cheaters once again, somehow.

We rigged it with conniving Roger Goodell, so the game would be played outdoors, in a cold weather location, to give a competitive advantage to the Patriots.

It would be Doubly Delicious to win a Fourth Lombardi. Even More Delicious to do so on the partial home field of the despised Jets. It would be even Supremely Delicious as Payback to the Giants with a victory on their home field as well.:p:p:cool:

Can you image the gorge and apoplectic rage of Jets fans trying to ascribe such a victory to the Cheaters, by playing at the Giants-Jets facility?

It warms the ****les of my heart to even envision such an outcome...:eek::singing:

The location of the Super Bowl has been mentioned more than a few times during the offseason.

But in the spirit of your thread, I'm going to go out on a limb and predict the final score.

    Patriots 56
    Giants 0

(and Ballard and Brady are named co-MVP)

I am sorry but i do not want to see the Giants in a Super Bowl in any way, shape, or form ever again. EVER.

2013 .... Mega Pats star Wes Welker signs a mega contract with the Peyton Manning led Broncos ..... (The Rest is T.B.D.)

Broncos will be favorites for AFC when the season starts.

They'll choke in the playoffs again though.

Exactly. For those unfamiliar or unaware as to what ctpatsfan77 is referring to, the NFC representative in the super bowl since 2006 has always come from the division in the other conference that plays the AFC East once on a rotating four-year cycle.

    2006: Chicago
    2007: New York
    2008: Arizona
    2009: New Orleans
    2010: Green Bay
    2011: New York
    2012: San Francisco
    2013: ?

Will the trend continue with an NFC South super bowl representative?

That's what happens to finesse teams (most of the time).

The dome Falcons would be a nice participant with Matty Ice Ryan and maybe Richard Seymour against the Patriots in the cold would nice.

A Pats - Packers match-up in sub-10 degree weather would be fitting. Neither team, nor their fans, would give crap about the weather.

Wow, that is interesting; I was not aware of that trend.

Of course if it does work out that way, then it would almost be a cruel twist of fate for whichever NFC South team wins the NFCCG. I can't see Carolina getting there, which leaves either a dome team (Falcons, Saints), or a Florida team (Bucs), to play in weather conditions that they will not be the least accustomed to in New Jersey in February.

From the AFC there are very few teams that have any realistic chance of making the Super Bowl that are in that situation; the Texans and Colts are really the only ones that come to mind. The rest of the top potential AFC representatives (Patriots, Ravens, Broncos, Bengals, Steelers) all practice and play in cold/bad weather climates.

I know this is looking way too far ahead, but you would think if this scenario were to play out then the AFC team should have an advantage over the NFC team in that game.

What could be better than the Pats celebrating the 4th trophy in the Jets locker room? On national TV? And doing post game interviews from the Jets media center? On the same podium that Rex uses?

I think my head would explode.

I'm with you pal, but there's ONE thing that would trump even that fabulous scenario. All of the above PLUS me sitting in SG3's seats. Can you imagine all of the fools who paid hard coin for PSLs to watch their steaming turd of a team having to endure seeing all those Pats fans seating in THEIR seats?! :rocker:

FWIW, I assume that it is a combination of getting "toughened up" by having to play the Patriots on the one hand, and being able to plow through the rest of the division on the other hand. :p

If we did it with either Tebow or Sanchez.. it would be their heads exploding.. literally ;)

Though I'd much have Brady take us there and have Jets fans being just really, really, really upset.

Beating the Giants in their house would be poetic justice. We would hear all week how the Giants own us and they will be the first host team to win the SB.

I just can't see the Denver Broncos as the favorite in the AFC, especially over the Patriots. The Patriots match up well against most of the top teams in the AFC, including Houston and Denver.

They don't do well against the Ravens, but things might be different if the Patriots can have someone (Dobson???) to stretch the field along with fielding a healthy defense against them.

I don't even have to get started with the Texans.

If I had to put my money on a QB in the AFC playoffs, I would always put it on Tom Brady. Manning is not a good playoff quarterback. Also, the Patriots have too many weapons for the Broncos to stop if they do meet up.

By the time the playoffs begin, I'm very hopeful that the two rookies in Aaron Dobson and Josh Boyce can be able to work well with #12.

But who knows? Every single year, there is a Cinderella team that always busts the brackets. Who will be the next '05 Pittsburgh Steelers? The next '07/'11 New York Giants? '10 Green Bay Packers? '12 Baltimore Ravens?

It's clear Peytons arm is completely shot. He choked on that game ending interception, but at this point I don't know if he can choke anymore. His body is just not capable of keeping up.

I do find it hilarious how he and the Broncos stat pad and get wins against the easiest schedule in the NFL last year and people wanted to crown them as this juggernaut team in spite of going (iirc) 1-3 against all four playoff teams they played. That one win came against the Ravens with Flacco (iirc) throwing 3 interceptions, including a 99 yard pick six.

The Broncos could be a great team if Peyton didn't insist on playing from the shotgun and passing it 50 times a game. The Broncos went from the best rushing team in the NFL to one of the worst. What changed? Peyton "audible out of a run play every down" Manning.

They still can't defend TEs and they still can't stop good rushing teams from running it down their throat.

I have the Broncos as the third best team in the AFC behind the Patriots and Texans. I also have GB, ATL, SF and SEA as way better than them. No way are they a top 3 team.
