Twitter / Mark Long: Del Rio on the #Colts aski ...
this just in...Bill Polian has replied and states that he has no knowledge of any piped in noise bu that the sound and acoustic system was installed by a Foxboro firm, Spy High-Fi and Camera....asked about this Mike Westhoff stated for the record that the Patriots dressed up spies as sound technicians and installed speakers to screw the Jaguars...
God, I hope that the Jags can end the Colts season this Sunday. That and a Patriots win would make my day absolutely glorious.
Polian: 'There's a pretty good team up north that does that. I'm not saying they did because I've never listened but I heard they did.'
.. plus a total pummeling of the Jets by the Steelers, and a nice early afternoon snow storm so I can skip an extended family Xmas party and stay home and watch it all unfold.
Add a Green Beans loss to the deal and we should all have a beer. :singing:
I am having beer either way.
"Thighgate" and now "noisegate".. it does not get much better than this.
Actually, if that happens, I'll just have a god damn snack.
That arguably affects the outcome of a football game waaay more than filming defensive signals. But, somehow, the league never properly looked into it.
It's crap, and more than likely it's a false accusation, but hey, if they can be tough on us, I expect the same rigor when it's another team.
Co-sign this one.
Apparently the aforementioned spies were caught on camera out of their disguises...
Polian also added: ....."We would have preferred to have our games played in an outdoor stadium had it not been for our discovery of multiple New England Patriot AWACS Radar planes spotted over our complex on all of our practice and game days"......
I feel like we would get along well.
Is the allegation of pumped-in noise anything new? We've heard this for years, on and off, and I'd love to see the day we can confirm that it does, in fact, exist. Nothing is better than seeing the Jets (and, we can only hope, the Colts), caught cheating to one extent or another. Petty, I know, but it would be nice not to have to deal with sanctimonious fans who want to somehow impugn my morality because I happen to root for the Patriots. Infuriating.
I don't know much about Del Rio, but he came across as pretty likeable in this week's Showtime NFL show's highlights of the Oakland game.
You know I was thinking the exact same thing :beersign:
