Says how he doesnt go to the probowl. He has been the best QB in the league.Everyone talks about manning's injury but this guy came back from an ACL. Got to agree with sanders here .How he isnt in the probowl is surprising .

And it can't be that he's a dumb hick because then how would you explain Manning?

Maybe some of these voters (ie Jay Paris) will take the blinders off and take some time to pick the best player for the award

The problem was Favre getting in. He was the one that didn't deserve to be in the Pro Bowl, but he got voted in because he has more hype around him than Rivers does. The Pro Bowl is a popularity contest.

Agreed. It's so blatant now that I wish they would fix the system

Another thing to consider is when the voting was happening, chargers had 4-8 record. You know your team needs to be winning if you want to be voted in pro bowl as a QB.

They should fix it so as to take away the fan vote or make it a much smaller percentage than it currently is. Fans are almost always going to vote for their favorite players on their team rather than who has the best stats. They should only let players and coaches vote.

True. But that's why they shouldn't do the pro bowl voting halfway through the season. They should vote after the season is over like John Madden suggested.

That makes a lot of sense if two players have performed at close to the same level, but Rivers outperformed Farve by a wide margin.

Has Favre taken himself out of the PB yet what with his torn whatever it is and all? Or do you think he will not be able to resist the spotlight?

Not yet. I wouldn't be surprised if he goes since he loves being in the spotlight and he might retire so this will be his last chance to go to a pro bowl. Even if he does bow out though, I don't think Rivers should go. He's already been disrespected; going as an alternate would be beneath him.

Yup. Besides, if he wins the super bowl that will more than make up for the dumb pro bowl who nobody really cares about or watches. It's the lamest all star game in all of sports.

So true. They should just do away with the pro bowl game. A complete waste of time that no one cares about.

agree, just have pro bowl voting with no actual game, like any other award(s) that way you still have snubs sure, you'll always have snubs, but you will no longer have guys declining invites, or getting hurt in hawaii or wherever they want to move this stupid-ass game to
