Its sad to see it happen but now Willie McGinest is getting those recurring back problems he had when here in New England.
Last year in Cleveland it was ankle and calf problems and now its the back again.
If I had a chance tonight to speak face to face with Willie it would be something like this...
Please do us a favor Willie, listen to what the wise words were of Corey Dillon just a week ago. He saw the time was now here to retire and decided before he got too beat up to enjoy time with his family and before inner problems with his body were to accumulate as he got older, he decided it was time to hang it up, very wise indeed, he did not want to follow the likes of players like Joe Montana and now Brett Farve who had nothing more to prove of how great a player they are, it is in stone.
If you continue to play with recurring back problems you may endure painful years ahead with arthritis and other ailments so its best to leave the game now while you can still stand strong.
You have proven to fans in New England and all over the world of what a great player you have been in the NFL and were a MAJOR reason why our defense was good enough to hoist 3 Super Bowl Championships and now you can show your kids what a great full time father you can be now, you have nothing further to prove to us Patriots fans, the fans in Cleveland or anywhere on earth.
Please tell Romeo you have had enough and want to get cut or released and come back to New England and sign a contract for a 1-day 'graduation' and retire a Patriot - You can wear that brown jersey right now but you will always be a New England Patriot in our eyes and in the eyes of many a fan.
I speak for just about every Patriot fan who would absolutely love to see you once more wear the red, blue and silver...If for just 1 more day.
