Dear NFL,

Preseason broadcasts: If a CBS local affiliate is allowed to broadcast a regional game in place of the scheduled national game, why isn't the NFL Network allowed to rebroadcast the purported national game for those interested in those teams? I appreciate the NFL's overall product and make an effort to watch several games each week through NFL Sunday Ticket and two DVRs, but I do have one favored team and want the chance to watch them, preseason or not, each week they play. I would appreciate your working this glitch in the delivery of an eagerly anticipated broadcast out for me and other fans who may have been equally disappointed tonight.

Attention Patriots media folks - I sent this to the NFL using their comments page on NFL.com, but your boss has just a tad more influence with the television networks broadcasting these games, not to mention NFL executives. It would be really nice if the Patriots organization made a call to the appropriate NFL executive. Thank you.

I'm with you. My local broadcaster hasn't shown one single down of Pats' football and my nearest team is the Pats.
Seriously, I get the point though. I don't see what is gained by denying access to fans across the US or the world.

Would the NFL want to commision a study to insure that the sponsors, Viagra et al, would be happy if this happened? I swear the commercials are getting dumber every year, or my intolerance is just growing. For us this is simple, for the NFL it is about advertising dollars and keeping the sponsors happy. The sponsors first, the teams second and then at position 3 ( just below whale crap) are the fans.

There is a price to pay for living in Buffalo Bills country. Not only do you get more coverage on the 4X SB losing team, but you don't get to see the best NFL team play in pre-season.

I don't know what is worst. The 26 feet of snow in the winter or not being able to see the Patriots.:D

26 feet? This ain't Hawaii!

Clearly there is a market for a DirectTV NFL Pre-season ticket....what are they waiting for??

The best thing they can do is stop the blackout booshirt for subscribers, we're already paying to see the game(s) vice the folks getting the old over the air broadcast.

The second best thing they could do is broadcast coach's tape for us - I'd be buying!

I don't mind seeing the Patriots PS games after they happen on NFLN at all. I don't care about the score or who won anyway. Now if I could get the coaches tapes that'd be great.

I live in Steelers country god help me but at least they broadcast Pats games so my family can watch....
