    Just for the record, this dean is FOR universal care... just not the mangled current bill right now that is completely pro-private-insurance.

    I didn't get that impression at all. Nowhere does he mention universal healthcare though he definitely acknowledges the present system's dysfunctional too, at least as far as people's actual health is concerned. But I didn't at all get the idea he's for government regulation, in fact one of his major contentions is the danger of over-regulation.

    It's fine if he is for universal health care. The problem with the current bill or bills that have been talked about, is that they focus too much on just getting passed. They are these amalgamations of bad ideas not focused on fixing a problem, but rather focused on just getting passed. Now this issue has been extremely partisan so there is equal blame to go around. Let's not force something on the people that's both financially irresponsible and bad for business.
