DAY 2 -- No Brady

And if Stallworth was half joking? :p

Kevin Faulk said yesterday if the game was today Brady would have played and if the game was this past Monday or Tuesday Brady would have played.

When I see Brady being pushed in a wheelchair to the plane Sunday then I MAY be concerned.

Don't worry, Brady completed a pass once while on his butt....

That's why I said MAY be concerned. :D

How the hell is this week going to pass? Will he even take the same plane as the team?

Whatever the case - issue is he is injured in some way. This is not good. I know even an 80% TB can get the job done but we need a 100% TB.

there is no sign that tom brady is in or even near the locker room today, much less stretching and running on the practice field. brady is probably seeing a foot specialist and has been told not to risk further injury by as much as even going easy during practice. my biggest fear IS that tom brady has an achillies-tendon injury..the kind that can put a player on IR right away. if so..than while he probably would make a valiant effort at playing in the SB, it might be better for the team if matt cassell took all of the snaps. a high ankel sprain is also serious, but this time next week might be feeling alot better than it is today. not so for an injury to his achillies. lets all keep out fingers crossed.

the fact that he missed practice is worth noting but is not a big deal

in fact, i was expecting brady to sit this one out

we all know that he is nursing an injury, and we all know that there is no chance that he does NOT play.

Tom Brady was seen with the Baby Jesus and Bono in Africa sheltering orphans and healing the diseased by touching them...He'll be back in time for the Superbowl provided they don't have another Ebola breakout.

He better make sure he gets his flights on time - no delays.

Anybody else think this might just be an elaborate ploy to keep the medidiots busy, not one question to BB or any of the players about Randy all week?

But why would they jeopardize practice for it? Don't get it....

No. You really think BB takes Super Bowl preparation so lightly that he is worried about playing games with the press? That is just ridiculous.

The premise is faulty to start with. By the end of last week no one was asking anyone on the Pats about Moss anymore. And Randy will still be baraged by questions next Tuesday when the national media gets there crack at media day whether Brady practices or not.

This is FANTASTIC.

Definitely BB trying to put all the focus on Brady and his pseudoinjury so that teh rest of the team can focus on practice and not have to answer questions about themselves.

This is classic Tom taking one for the team.

Also definitely distracts the Giants a little bit...no matter what they say.
Perhaps they have to prepare a bit more for Cassell then they ordinarily would.

But why would they jeopardize practice for it? Don't get it....

He isn't might not be missing all of practice, the media just watches them stretch and loosen up, not run playes. He could do that anywhere.

I agree. Something is up. If anything - seems like his injury is worse than expected and they are trying to minimize it now. Whatever it is - not good for the PATS because TB might be injured and he is NOT at practice. No two ways of looking at it. These two days are huge because they leave on Sunday with their "gameplan" (without TB practicing) and in Glendale it will be a circus so they will be probably adding final touches.

AAGGH!

He's resting the foot, big deal. They've got all of next week to practice--it's not as though he's got to get in sync with his receivers.

Somehow I don't think Belichick would have been laughing about the injury report if this were an issue.

I just don't get how he can literally hide without being seen when the paparazzi follows him everywhere. He must literally not be going outside at all or he's sleeping in some secret room at the practice facility:eek:

Not if Tom is seen walking off the plane in AZ with a walking cast, and Randy is the first to address the media....

Begin Story :

He's tweaked his ankle and is resting it.

End Story.

THANK YOU. Anyone panicking about this story hasn't been paying attention for YEARS. This is a TOTALY non-issue.

The simple answer is usually true.

Brady has an ankle sprain and is resting it. There is no game this week so it really isn't a big deal.

Or, you can go with the consiparacy theory:
Brady is fine and BB is using this to get back at the media, deflect from Moss, fool Tom Coughlin into preparing for Cassel (my personal favorite seeing that BB would have to think Coughlin a total idiot), etc.

High secrecy and gamesmanship, boys. Notice on NFL Today there were NO Patriot interviews...just Giants.

It's Super Bowl time, and everything coming out of the Patriots camp is about gamesmanship. We want a fourth ring....all the stops are pulled out.

We shall see how all of this plays out on game day.

GO PATRIOTS!!!
