Pretty sad story with this guy... was really on the rise when he left here, now he might not play again, and it's a long shot that he'll ever start again. If we weren't so deep at WR, I'd like to sign him back for cheap.

A 7th round pick to a multimillionaire is not my idea of a sad story.

He probably won't be able to play this year anyway.

Consecutive playoff games with a TD catch - nice NFL record to tell his grandkids about.

His career from what I'm reading is pretty much done. The curse of the leaving the Patriots struck real hard there. Deion, need I say more. They come out smelling like roses not paying him.

Meanwhile, Givens comes out looking good for having grabbed all the money he can (and staying classy about it).

Guys like Givens, Ashworth, TBC, or Andruzzi who leave for what very well may be their one 7-figure signing bonus -- well, I have no problems with them at all.

So the "curse" of leaving the Patriots involves winning Super Bowls and becoming a multi millionaire? Yea, I bet those guys sure are miserable.
