That is much less expensive than Koppen's last deal was, without even factoring in an inflation in the cap since then. By comparison Koppen's 2006 contract was for five years and over $20 million; he had a $7.5 million bonus and salaries of $2.4 million, $2.9 million and $2.9 million the last three years.


I'll be curious to see if Koppen signs elsewhere and if so, for how much - or if he ends up out of football after spending a year on IR, like Kaczur did a year ago.

That's an awesome deal for us. Connolly is a legit starting C on this team. The length is perfect too gives us flexibility to draft a potential upgrade/longterm replacement in the next couple of drafts while having an option already in place.
