I would like to be on his jury. I could not vote to convict based on the details in the article.

    Kudos to "Dad."

Does anyone know if there's a collection being taken for his bail money?

I got a kid who's a stone cold pacifist - went all the way through high school without ever getting in a fight.

Maybe 10 years after he graduated I ran into the midnight nursing supervisor at the hospital where I worked. She asked me my name and when I told her she asked me if I was related to _____ _____. I told her I was and she got tears in her eyes and said, "You must be so proud of him." I am, of course, but I couldn't understand why she was - or how she knew him. I asked her why and she told me that her son went to school with my son - only my son was one of the "In Crowd" and her son was a very badly handicapped CP boy who was tormented daily from the time he entered the bus until he got off the bus - until one day my son stood up in the lunchroom, walked over to her son, sat down next to him and said, "From now on this is where I sit - and this is who I sit with. If you want to be my friend, you'll damn well be his friend, too." She said it took 2 days and her son's table became the "In Table" and no one ever messed with him again. She said my son walked him to classes, sat next to him on the bus, picked him up for school dances, sports events, functions, etc., called him "just to talk" on the phone (even though her son's speech was unintelligable) and simply defied anyone to question why.

She said her son's junior and senior years were the happiest years of his life....and when I asked her what he was doing now, she simply said, "He's dead," but when on to tell me that my son, big goofy kid that he was, made his last years not only bearable, but enjoyable - not just for him, but for her whole family.

My youngest son followed in his footsteps 10 years later. Only he beat the living snot out of the tormentors three or four times until they all caught on.

Different strokes for different folks. One son got suspended, one didn't. Regardless, I understand and approve of both methods.

Even though we disagree politically, you raised a couple of good kids.

My hat is off to both sons and to both parents.
What the world needs is more like you folks.
And yes, I agree with the Dad, too, being a father myself to a 5 yr old little girl that I adore.

The sons and I thank you all - you'd have to be able to track the dad down in order to congratulate him. Let us all know if you succeed, ok, we'll send him pictures with names on the bottom so he'd be able to identify which child was which.

    To you and yours:

    NICE JOB!

And to the parents of the tormentors: TOTAL FAILURE! Doesn't matter whether you "realized" how mean or you are "shocked" at your kid's behavior. You have produced an animal. You have failed as badly as a parent could. You need to stop having kids immediately and you need to change your life.
