D & C questioned available Shortstops this morning.

Driving home from work this morning ( I work nights ) Dennis & Callahan were questioning available shortstops we could trade for.....

Julio Lugo is terrible in the field and Jed Lowrie is hurt.
Nick Green has played well, but he is not a long term solution.

Fantasy geek John Meterparel could not think of any available shortstops.

What about JJ Hardy ?
His bat started slow, but he has recently started to hit. He batted 244 last April, 264 in May before heating up and batting 310, 339, & 294 from Jun thru Aug.

The Brewers have speedster (15 steals) Alicedes Escobar at AAA Nashville. He is a top prospect who was called up late last season.

The Brewers need SP...... Would you give Michael Bowden for JJ Hardy???

Nobody wanted him in the off season for trade or bad contract swap, definitely not going to find anyone now when the price jumped up due to the lack of available people.

He's $18 million on their books that isn't going anywhere. No matter how bad he plays he isn't going anywhere.

oh pleasethe sox can eat his salary without thinking twice about it. if the sox can find a good deal for a ss they will make the deal regardless of lugis contract. lugo will not stay on the team because the sox dont want to eat his contract.

Hardy is incredibly streaky, but he's got pop from the SS position. Maybe they could do some kind of deal where Lugo & Bowden go for Hardy & Hall. Hall has a terrible contract as well.
