    Buster Davis cut

Ariz cut davis, a 3rd rounder this year. Before the draft, BB was allegedly interested in this undersized LB.

Do we take a chance? Perhaps he just didn't fit their system.

What does it say about Arizona (and Buster Davis) that they cut a 3rd round pick... Their LBs aren't that great.

    Re: Buster Davis cut

I liked him coming out of FSU, but if he can't play well enought to make the Cards, not sure he'd work out in NE.

    Re: Buster Davis cut

Maybe it is just a system problem, or he has been playing hurt? Who knows, but the talent was there not so long ago.

Yes. Davis is 5'9 and 3/8" tall.

He could be the next Larry Izzo....

    Re: Buster Davis cut

Not only was he a 3rd rounder, he was the 69th pick overall.

That's a bad cut. Wasted pick.

    Re: Buster Davis cut

Well they could've at least IR'd him.

Davis was really struggling in the Senior Bowl. He was awful whenever NFLN showed the Mike Singletary-coached LB drills.

Now, before anyone thinks this is a "Lets sign XYZ PLAYER" thread, its not. Its about the cuts out there that could interest the Pats in the short term or long term.

DeMario Minter - DB (Cut by the Browns)
Babitunde Oshinowo - NT (Cut by the Browns)
Dhani Jones - LB (Cut by the Saints)

The Official "Do we take a chance" thread

We already have the first thread on Buster Davis, but think about it: 32 teams are going to cut 22 players each. That's 704 players.

Rather than have 703 more "Do we take a chance threads," let's put them all here.

Someone already mentioned Buster Davis. I'd take a flyer on him.

Oshinowo might be one to look at as a backup NT...unless he was really poor in Cleve...just a thought...

    Re: Buster Davis cut

Bill Belichick said before the draft that there would be first day picks who would have been UFDA's in other draft years.

    Re: Buster Davis cut

If he couldn't stick in Arizona who has arguably the worst LB group in the league, then he is in trouble.

    Will Demps

This guy was cut by the Giants.

Wasn't he once considered one of the better safeties in the league?

    What happened?

He couldn't even make the Cardinals defense, and you want to take a flyer on him?
