Any ST listing that does not have Pierre Woods, the best ST player on the team, and one of the best in the League even listed on it, isn't worth the paper to print it.

Woods was in on 89% of the ST plays; the B-E-S-T figure in the entire League. Larry Izzo has been fading for two years now.

Pierre Woods had many more ST tackles than Larry, lead the Team, and he wasn't even a gunner, who is supposed to get them. Larry's selection as ST Probowler are based on distant memories. The (old) King is Dead. Long Live the (New) King!

Meanwhile Woods started to get some regular D snaps at OLB late last season; more will follow. After all he is only going into his third season; and it takes a few years to convert from a DE to 3-4 OLB. The UDFA has come along way beating out Jeremy Mincey, and Justin Rodgers, for a position his first two years.

I love our depth. We have the best QB in the league, but that's not it. We have a great defense, great WR's, and great everything. And if one of them gets injured, we have great bench players.

Yeah, one or two of those backup CBs might be further down the list than Slater on the depth chart as a possible dime-back player. But Slater was seen also taking WR reps so, until we TC with pre-season games can these depth charts be more accurate.
So, there are only about 5 true CBs making the team for CB play (excluding the 4 Safeties). And there will be 2, 3 or 4 players making the team as a ST specialist only. Slater's best chance right now appears to be as a ST specialist only. I agree too that he's competing with Aiken & Ortiz too but I'll keep it for now until we seeso I'll move Aiken to ST area.
