He had 3 tackles. Started every game at MLB for Notre Dame as a Senior, but mostly STs before that.

Does he have a realistic chance helping at ILB in the future?

Any Notre Dame fans with the dish?

I never got to see him at Notre Dame. He is a little on the smaller side at 6-1, 245 lbs., but should stick around for a while purely based on his special teams contributions. Who knows if he will take the path of Banta-Cain, and move from a special teamer to a contributor on defense, or if he will be like Larry Izzo, and remain a career ST's specialist.

The fact that he replaced Vrabel instead of Izzo shows maybe the staff has hopes that he could progress into a defensive player.

I want to believe that he could possibly play MLB for this team, or at least provide some situational depth.. guess Charlie had some nice things to say about him. From what I can see he always around the ball on Special Teams.

Bill credited him with sniffing out that fake punt pre snap and shooting the gap to prevent the conversion.

Let's just say that he got to start the season on the Practice Squad, then came aboard to play Special Teams - even ahead of his peer Woods who was often a gameday inactive - so BB/Pees/Seely are seeing something there to work with. Bruschi has been listed at 6-1, 247 for awhile, I think I can live with a rookie who starts his pro career at 6-1, 245 on the roster - knowing how accurate the team is when posting that info. ;)

Call it a promising start for a young UDFA player coming into the Patriots' system. :rocker:

I for one would like to See Corey become a contributor,It was good to see him in the game yesterday. We definately need some youth at the position.I have yet to see Pierre Woods for whatever reason. So I do hope we keep Mays around.

I believe Woods got some minutes.

He's been a demon on special teams.
