Once again youtube did not catch this, nor did anyone from the crowd remember seeing anything.. and no one was detained or arrested... so did this actually occur?? Interesting how the party who has always believed it to be the stalwart of family values and the party of law and order, is rapidly descending into anarchy...

There will be those who believe it is justified..

the author of this blog and his mantra...who is a leader of the Alabama Militia.. will the next step be calling up the "Oath Keepers"

    Sipsey Street Irregulars

FYI they have broken the windows of 5 congressman and everytime it happens MIKE VANDERBOEGH, revels in its occurance..

Some info on this new enforcer...

As MrP brought up earlier - this reeks of shades of Kristallnacht - which is interesting considering that one of the main complaints made about Obama by the people exhorting the window breaking is that he's a Hitler clone.

Kristallnacht - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I know this has been brought up in another thread - but that thread has sort of disintegrated into something else - as is often the case in conversation.

On the off-chance that someone would like to either refute or applaud the sentiments being expressed here - as well as the manner in which those sentiments are being expressed, I'll link to this again:

As angry opponents of health care reform smash legislators' office windows, make death threats against Bart Stupak and Louise Slaughter, and vow to send snipers to "kill the children of the members who voted yes,” Democrats are protesting that the rage in the health care debate has gotten too personal—and that threatening their families is going too far.

Angry voters have published a photograph of Steve Driehaus's children as well as what they believed to be Thomas Perriello's home address, and Slaughter's grandchildren were placed under police protection after threats. Driehaus blames the GOP for encouraging extremists: John Boehner last week said Driehaus "may be a dead man" if he voted for the health care bill, Politico reports. Such comments are "wildly out of bounds for his position and very irresponsible, quite frankly," says Driehaus. "He’s from next door. That’s not helpful. That’s irresponsible."

After Health Reform, Death Threats to Bart Stupak, Louise Slaughter, Reps' Kids

Way to de-value history. Next we compare how the communist who drove his plane into the IRS building was just like 9-11.

Not really that organization that makes you proud, is morphing into an outlaw gang that is egged on by radio talk shows and right wing blogs.. unfortunately many do not think for themselves and view this as sometype of marching order to break laws and try to disrupt our duly elected officials.. the rise of the militias are a grave concern to many in our society.

Oh how I wish that there was this much energy after the lies and justification of the invasion of Iraq.. somehow that opportunity was missed..

I'm saying everything starts someplace....why is mentioning the harbringer of the Holocaust in conjunction with exhortations to break the windows of democrats and kill their kids and grandkids any different than the right carrying pictures of Obama dressed up like Hitler in conjunction with health care reform?

Either both have merit or neither are comparable.

When did Joe Stack become a communist...oh yeah this morning when you posted this. Theres this thing called GOOGLE, someone can go back and check to see the veracity of assertions.

AUSTIN, Tex. — Leaving behind a rant against the government, big business and particularly the tax system, a computer engineer smashed a small aircraft into an office building where nearly 200 employees of the Internal Revenue Service were starting their workday Thursday morning, the authorities said.

Sounds a little Tea Baggish to me.

There have been people concerned about scary militias for the past 30 years and the only events we get are 1 or 2 crazies. Aside from the religious cults anyway (Waco, Kool Aid)

One of the problem with people today (especially righties) is getting their news and facts from blogs. Stack was neither a true tea partier or a communist he ranted against both government and big buisness.

You can't bend the facts to suit you argument. Only other people that perceive the world as you do will be convinced. Crashing your plane into an IRS center isn't the hall mark of a communist even if the people that tell you what you think tell you so.

Authorities said Andrew Joseph Stack III, 53, an Austin resident with an apparent grudge against the Internal Revenue Service,

In the lengthy, rambling message, the writer rails against the government and, particularly, the IRS.

He closes with the communist agenda? As i scanned this manifesto i keep seeing IRS, corporations, and government. At the end he makes ONE referrance to the communist creed. Your trying to tell everyone reading this that that makes him a communist. He sounds more like a tea bagger in general.

Like i said earlier stop taking rt wing blogs as fact, be skeptical of everything.

These things are very easy to confirm, Chico...I'm surprised you haven't figured out how to do it yet.

Let me walk you through it, just in case you want to ever prove or refute something yourself some day.

    First you go to GOOGLE.COM

Then you type in some key words - they can be pretty broad, so you don't have to think too hard. In this case SEVERED GAS LINE + CONGRESSMAN worked just fine.

    Then hit the ENTER key.

TA-DA!! It's like magic, Chico. There were 76,000 proofs to choose from. I chose this one because it's short, factual and from a pretty unbiased source.

Gas Line Cut At Home Of Va. Congressman's Brother - CBS News

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Authorities are investigating a severed propane line at the home of a Virginia congressman's brother after tea party activists posted the man's address online.

Activists are upset about U.S. Rep. Tom Perriello's vote in favor of the health care reform.

Perriello's office said that a line to a propane tank on a gas grill was cut at Bo Periello's Charlottesville home on Tuesday. Tea party activists had posted the address online thinking it was the congressman's home, telling opponents to drop by and "express their thanks" for his vote.

Albemarle County spokeswoman Lee Catlin said the county fire marshal's office was assisting the Federal Bureau of Investigation. She said investigators didn't believe the home's occupants were in danger.

yes, because there are never false stories, misunderstandings or conflicting reports on the Internet....

Imagine, at 130 in the morning I'd ask a simple yes/no question on something that others might actually already be knowledgeable about.

I read it....you were up at 0130 and thought you'd just ask someone, right?

Problem with that is, for most people here, they never believe anything anyone else tells them - regardless of how knowledgable they may be on any given subject.

Time wise, it's quicker to google it is yourself than it is to ask someone else and wait for an answer you're going to want to recheck, and rightfully so, anyhow.

no offense, but this exchange isn't very fruitful -- how about if you trust me that I'm well aware of google and the pros and cons of various ways of obtaining information?

Sure - no problem. Just surprising, considering all that, that you'd have been unaware that the cutting of the propane line would have been something you weren't already aware of. It's been all over the Internet, newspapers, TV and radio.

I, perhaps wrongly, assumed you were being facetious when you asked for proof - seeing as how it's been widely discussed in the media - as well as mentioned in several threads (complete with links) besides this one and so I replied accordingly.

    My bad. Apologies.
