Because thats all your good at is campaigning as tonight shows.

The dumbing and numbing down of America continues.

Like an alcoholic who hasn't hit bottom but has lost his job and his family his self respect and pleads for another bottle in his befouled clothes, celebrates, as he has been given another bottle to humiliate himself.

America hasn't hit bottom yet but will in the next four years.

Wow, that is really negative. It is what it is. Don't blame Obama or the Obama supporters, blame the GOP for being to stupid to put up a candidate that was worth voting for.

Dummy me....I read the title and thought, "Oh, how cool....a magnanimous concession from one of the hard-line conservatives," and I actually thought there was hope for all of us.

    Duh!!

I think what this election showed is that the United States of America continues to prefer the president we've now elected twice -- despite what the rightie fringe echo chamber and bumper stickers say.

Obamacare is a lock. People can get health insurance. Get used to it.

Every election, a good part of the Republican electorate from the last election dies (the oldest of them.) Every election, a good part of the Democratic electorate expands, the non-white vote.

Of course, there's a silver lining: the wealthier you get, the more likely you are to vote Republican. Since Democrats create wealth and jobs, there's a built-in regulator on the process of Repubican self-destruction.

    Thanks! That's awesome.

GM is alive and Bin Laden is dead.

The Dow is up 79% in 4 years.

    Performance counts.

Now back to the party, woo-hoo!!!!!

The dumbing down of America is shown when losers, rather than acting gracious, act like sore losing children. Pathetic post, patra. You should have a little dignity.

Seems to be a theme with Rep concession speeches tonight.

They say congratulations to the winner and then say things like "we'll keep fighting until we get OUR country back"

I was wondering, who they are taking it back from?

    Thank god.

For a moment I thought they meant black people, Latino's, women and people who don't believe religion has a place in politics.

LMAO 7.9% unemployment the new normal.
Whats even funnier is they have created more poor and dependents and debt than anyone in my life time.As we vote to keep circling the toilet bowl.

This isn't a football game. i do have dignity thats why I don't by the con of Obama.
I don't buy the con of having to have to pay taxes on my health insurance that I earned and pay for. I don't buy the cost that taxing "the rich only" con job when they pass those cost to the consumer.
I don't buy the con of payng for 5$ gal gas and heating oil on a bogus theory that is a 100 years off at the earliest.
I don't buy the con that you get something for nothing like 40% and rising Americans and non americans do.

You belie your own thread title. I, for one, am thankful our nation has dodged a true dumbing down by the party that champions anti-science/anti-intellectual dogma and religious fundamentalism.

I see that the football is being spiked and the end zone dances are going on.

But it's time to move on. We are still a divided nation with big fiscal problems looming. Don't expect the House to give in on tax increases. If they do they will be out of power in 2 years.

The best thing that Obama can do is to agree to extend the current tax rates for concessions on other things.

Especially when the popular vote is virtually dead even. All Obama did was save himself the humiliation of a one termer, barley. He has no mandate. He now has to explain himself on Libya while he president.
He was saved by a small hurricane and a protective media.

First off this ain't football. The country lost thats what i whine about.

    LOL.... Unrivaled fail.

"Not buying" and "showing how it's wrong" are two standards that are worlds apart. If you could show how that fundamental fact is a "con," dear con, you would have.

If gas is $5 because of some grand conspiracy, you'd have formed a coherent argument explaining why, not just repeat the paranoia over and over without substantiating what empirical evidence led you to such a laughable statement.

"100 years at the earliest"... good one.

It's already started. If the Pentagon, U.S. Dept. of Energy and the IEA are somehow lying, tell us all why?

Just admit that you were wrong and take your medicine. Liberals aren't out to get you. It's just that your data is horrible.

I'm not the one who made the football analogy, jackass.

Keep up your whining. It's actually pretty amusing. Sounds like you were duped by Romney and Ryan, 2 more "small govt" Republicans who wouldn't have touched any meaningful part of government spending while continuing outdated social policies that put more government into people's lives, not less.

the problem i'm seeing is, these republicans who were duped , bought into less govt because they knew a republican govt wasn't messing with their personal freedomes, only others, such as homosexuals

i say freedom for all, as long as it isn't stepping on someone else's freedom

why can't republicans ever understand that concept?

I think religion has a lot to do with it. Or I should say, religionism.
