I believe we all thought the season was over in the first quarter of the first game. But, even through all the injuries the Patriots have put up another great season. So if they move on to the play-offs or not thanks for another exciting year.

I actually thought they'd win this game and never really had any doubt, even when Jackson was going nuts.

This team has made me so proud, regardless.

Great great season. They defined resilience. Coaching staff was great. We saw a lot of people step up. Guyton, Mayo, Cassel, Morris/Jordan/BJGE, Wilhite, we saw a lot of youth and consequently we saw a lot of our future. It was very nice to see. Very proud of the team.

For me, its defined by the coming out parties of Cassel and Mayo, Gost and Brandon and coaching brilliance while at the same time being fairly disappointed in names such as Watson, D Thomas and the Oline at the beginning of the season.

Belichick is the best coach ever, I'll never doubt him again. He may get it done in sloppy ways, but he's a straight go getter. We're 11-5 without TFB.

I'm praying a late christmas miracle occurs today.

After Brady went down, if you had told me we'd be 11-5 I would have been shocked. However, if you also told me we'd need help to get into the playoffs with that record, I would have just said you were full of it.

HJATS OFF TO OUR BELOVED PLAYERS, COACHES AND OTHER MEMBERS OF THE PATRIOTS!!!

What a great achievement in the face of all these injuries and problems!

    JUST AMAZING!!

We have done our best and have no control over what happens next.

I am happy that we did our part and got the W. Strangely content irrespective of what happens next. :|

I can't say I enjoyed this season more than last season (although, it's up there), but I'm certainly prouder of this team than I was last year, and that's saying a lot.

I'll just copy and paste my post from the Bills thread...

I just want to share how damn proud I am of this team regardless of what happens in New Jersey today. For them to sustain the kind of losses they have and still keep marching toward January has made me even more proud of them this year than I was of them last year or ever before since I've been watching. Great season guys and may the Favre still some juice in that right arm to torch the Phins. Go Jets...

Thanks for the season, guys. Hopefully it's not over; if it is, it has been one hell of a ride. Lots of players stepped up HUGE: Moss, Welker, Meriweather, Faulk, Morris, Mayo, Wilfork, Cassel, Gostkowski...I feel like this list could go on forever.

Thanks, New England Patriots. And here is to a playoff game next week!

I have to agree 100%, what an amazing season, regardless of what happens next. Belichick should be coach of the year. I don't think ANY team has lost so many key players and went 11-5. Amazing !!!

I can. I like being the underdog. Last season was just stessful.

Also, I like that our offense became less finesse this year. Hopefully when Brady comes back we will run the same amount as we have this season. Finally, it was great seeing the young players on the defense step up.

    Brady's middle name is Fred?

On a serious note, it was fun to watch them this year, a couple frustrating games but they're playing their best ball right now and would love to see them in the playoffs to see what damage they can.

    Go Jets .... ugh

Seeing teams like the Bears and Vikes stumbling into the playoffs is just sad when you see what this decimated team has done when it counts.

Why this negative phrase at the end? Season has still not finished until after the 4.15 games are over.

Have confidence my dear lady, everything will work out the way it is supposed to. ;)

Lord Favre will give us something to cheer about. :)

What a great ride this has been, one of my favorite seasons ever for the Pats, regardless of the late games outcomes.

I am so proud of this team right now....

Absolutely INCREDIBLE season considering everything this team has had to face this year. To go 11-5 with all the injuries and crap this team has had to deal with, is a credit to every single player, and every coach we have. How BB could be left out of the COY award this year is beyond me.....maybe because he won it last year? No one has done MORE with less.....and adjusted better to absolute horrific injuries and problems than BB this year......Greatest coach of all time. Matt Cassel has been a true warrior and a incredible competitor. This kind of fire and guts is hard to find in a player....and he HAS it. Not sure where he will go from here, or how successful he will be as a starter for another franchise, but he has been a pleasure to watch, and has certainly overachieved most of our expectations........BB of course knew how good the kid could be,and that he could manage a game and lead this team to a winning season.

I am so very proud of this team......GO PATS!!!!

Now lets hope that the Jests will play the game of their lives and SQUISH THOSE F'ING FISH!!!!!!!

    And in some crazy conditions.

Can you believe Tampa Bay? I mean, come on, look at our team fighting when they may get eliminated anyway compared to their team just folding and losing a playoff berth. At home.

I know people hate our team, but it is very hard for me to understand when our guys play so hard.

My ten-year-old daughter and I have been following the game by the play-by-play over a crappy internet connection in a French ski resort. When it was clear that the Patriots were going to beat the Bills she went to sleep with a smile on her face. This is the season when she has started to understand the game and it's a true pleasure to share my enthusiasm for the team with her. We both appreciate how much the team has achieved in tough, tough circumstances. Whatever happens later today, that won't be lost.

    So, yes: congratulations and thanks.

I am more proud of this Patriots team than I was of the 2007 team, and it has nothing to do with losing the Super Bowl.

Having lost NFL MVP Tom Brady in the first quarter of the first game of the season, this team had every reason to quit, but they didn't.

How many other teams could lose a Hall of Fame QB and still end up with an 11-5 record and a chance to make the playoffs? I can't think of one. It's not like we all knew Matt Cassel would be this good, if only he had the chance to play. We all thought Cassel sucked, especially after his horrible play in preseason. Matt Cassel played great. How many different players did the Pats lose to injury? And yet, they have a chance to make the playoffs.

I am so proud of this team. Way to go guys!!

Regardless of how the Jets/Dolphins game ends up I am very proud of how the Patriots did this season. This has been a very up and down season but very exciting to see people such as Matt Cassel stand up and tell everyone else that the Patriots are FAR from gone.

I am very proud of this team. :D
