TFY draft has posted combine invites for seniors for offensive positions. The list doesn't include juniors yet, even those who have declared.

40 senior offensive linemen have been invited, including OT/OG Vladimir Ducasse from UMass and 6'8" 315# Jared Veldheer from Hillsdale (Michigan). Chris Marinelli from Stanford, who has been fabulous blockign for Toby Gerhart all season, has not gotten an invite.

TFY

33 senior WRs have been invited, but Bowling Green WR Freddie Barnes did not get an invite. Barnes was very impressive against Idaho in the Humanitarian Bowl.

20 senior RBs have been invited so far, including LaGarrette Blount and Dexter McCluster.

18 senior TEs have been invited so far:

14 senior QBs have been invited so far:

Freddie Barnes, geez, what do have to do to get an invite to the combine? HHe broke the NCAA record for completions, caught 17 passess, including a last minute TD in the bowl game.

Interesting list, though the craptastic coverage from NFL Network will irritate me again.

I'm actually disappointed Veldheer got an invite.

I've seen nothing of him, but I would have liked him to stay under the radar a la Vollmer.

And it's outrageous Barnes wasn't on the list. He's been one of the top three receivers all year long. Maybe the top guy. He's got me feeling warm and fuzzy the way Eddie Royal did.

I totally agree.

Forget him, watch Dante visit Stanford...

I think Scar would absolutely drool over Chris Marinelli (6'7" 300#), and even more over his junior OG teammate, Andrew Phillips (6'5" 299#). I'd be very happy building the right side of our OL around those guys.

I didn't see Thomas Austin the OG/C from Clemson.

If he doesn't get much attention he could be a late round steal.

By the looks of things, Jared Veldheer is doing a pre-Draft blog for Josh Buchanon's scouting site.

Part 1

Part 2

It's not much, but it's something.

Austen Lane has also done one but it's not been updated yet. Says he's signed with XAM Sports, if anyone knows what they're like?

That site is terrific for the small school stuff by the way.

I've dealt with Shawn at XAM Sports a few times. They had Connor Barwin as a client last year as well. They are good people.

Excellent.

The actual quote from Lane is:

I have signed with XAM Sports and my agents are Scott Smith and Jason Bernstein.

He also says this:

I will be staying in Florida and training at API and my roommate is going to be Danny Batten. I am excited because I have talked to him before and it will be cool. The Batten-Lane House of Pain here in Florida will be in full effect.

:D

Scott Smith represented Connor Barwin last year, so I'm sure he knows how to market a guy with that kind of size and athleticism.

45 senior defensive linemen have been invited to the 2010 NFL combine:

TFY

Some notable names missing include DT Boo Robinson of Wake Forest, Oklahoma DT DeMarcus Granger, and former Virginia DE Jeffrey Fitzgerald.

30 senior linebackers have been invited to the combine:

TFY

41 senior defensive backs have been invited to the combine:

TFY

Interesting prospects not invited include Clemson CB Crezdon Butler and Utah S Robert Johnson.

Jay Ross, he played really well against Arkansas.

But Barwin was selected lower then most of us thought so wouldn't that say he wasn't marketed effectively?

Beauty in the eye of the buyer, there were those who claim he was marketed in their effort to disparage him as a prospect - 18 TT, 4.5 sacks, 4 PD in limited playing time as a 3rd down specialist argues in his favor.

No, that would mean the opposite. Barwin was originally seen as a borderline 3rd round pick, and became, in the eyes of some, a potential first round pick.

I think he was marketed pretty darn well.
