1.) Gonzo- his return will be delayed...with the way the Colts work these things, who knows...he hasn't been around all year...but I think Manning was counting on his return.
2.) Jackson- In and out of the line up all year. Don't believe he started any game at corner..almost exclusively in on nickle packages...but hasn't played a lot.
3.) Sanders- Played in two games...looking forward to having him back...helps provide depth...but that is shot.
4.) Hagler- Starting LB'er...cut last season and resigned...not a world beater...but was solid enough for our purposes.
5.) Hayden- Pro Bowler who has not been in Pro Bowl form. Hamstrung with a hamstring injury to start the season...now the knee.
6.) Ed Johnson...not an injury...but a lost starter none the less.
These players (aside from Hagler, and maybe Hayden) have not to date been an integral part of the team, but were certainly going to be counted on to help with team depth down the stretch. The war of attrition may get to this group...will be interesting to see how they respond.
Rookie corners in Powers and Lacey will be called upon. Each has had extensive playing time this season...but they have nothing to fall back on now. At this point, as a Colt fan, you hope for the best with Gonzo and Hayden, and hope guys who fill in for those who have fallen are up to task. Rougher road for the boys in Blue. 8-0 going into the Pats Sunday Nighter becomes more important...let's go get the TEXANS!!
