That PI call on #35 I think of the Texans was complete BS.

LOL they do get a ridiculous amount of "timely" DPI's though no wonder people are afraid to give peyton manning the ball back

It's about time to restructure the competition committee to boot members who might have a conflict of interest. Seriously, it's like having the wolves in charge of the henhouse dinner menu.

Those calls by the refs made the game go completely the other way. They won the game for the colts

Yes, what else is new? I simply cannot watch any game with the Colts in it, knowing that it is bound to have bad calls in it that favour the Colts. I think we should just re-name them the "Zebras".

Re: Colts new helmet for 2010 season

I hate those phantom calls that COLTS always get when they are trying to get back in the game.

It already happened 3 times in Pats @ Colts games.

2006 AFC Final - PI on Hobbs in the endzone only because ball hit Ellis in his back. He didn't even touch the receiver. If i remember after that Colts draw us.

2007 AFC 1/2 Superbowl :) - again crazy call on Hobbs who was playing the ball. Ovcourse Mike Pereira said it was ok.

2009 - call on Darius Butler for having a better position on the ball then Collie. Up to this moment i thought that defender has the same rights to get the ball :singing:

2009 Colts @ Texans - Reeves get flagged because his hand get tangled a bit with hands of Colts receiver even though ball is overthrown about 5 yards.

All of those calls changed the games dramatically except in 2007 we were able to overcome that somehow.
I really hate COLTS because of that.

Re: Colts new helmet for 2010 season

This re-occuring theme of "Colts saved again by timely penalty" is really getting out of hand.

It's gotten to the point of predictable and riduculous.

When I saw the Texan's were up 17-0 in the 2nd quarter...I litteraly said out loud "here comes the flags"

And boy did they come...almost 100 yards in the 2nd and 3rd quarters alone...

When is the media going to pick up on this?

This is no longer a conspiracy theory...Its a FACT.

Re: Colts new helmet for 2010 season

This one was so egregiously bad that Hobbs got an apology letter from the NFL, saying, "Oops, we shouldn't have called that."

A whole f***ing lot of good that did, of course.

BTW, did you know there was at least one season where the Colts D drew zero flags for PI?

The travesty started before the texans were up 17-0. It should have been 21-0

I'm not one for reading into things and making them seem something that they aren't, but the phantom defensive pass interference penalties have become out of hand with the Colts, especially since 2006.

I have no problem with the calls if they are warranted and satisfy the criteria outset in the NFL Rules Guide. The problem is, even a mute and blind donkey knows the Colts are getting an amazing run of it.

    Wow,
We sure are spending alot of time on the Colts on this board. The Colts still have to make plays after they get a "bogus" call. I have watched a few of their games where the other team got the calls and couldn't make the plays....I also recall when the 07 Pats played the Ravens and got a call or two for them on the last drive and they benefitted and won the game...BUT Brady still had to hit Gaffney.. Everyone hated the Pats for getting the calls that year. Forget about it.... It will not make you feel better talking about this....

was the penalty in the endzone on the same drive an bogus call as well? The refs claimed it was PI, but I did not see any contact. The play by play guy claims it was facegaurding, and you need to turn back and look for the ball. But I thought that face gaurding was not a penalty. And as long as there is no contact, then you dont need to be looking for the ball.

Here is the replay of the game. The penalty I am questioning starts at 1:56 of tape.

Listen, stop bellyaching. The Colts will go undefeated this season whether they earn it, or we have to help them. Get used to it.

    Sincerely,

    Again,
What in the world are we doing looking at the Colts games and complaining about the officiating? I went to the Texans boards and even their fans agree that there was 1 bad call but that the Colts are good and they win and their team is bad and they lose. Yet here we are combing Colts games.... Is it because we don't want them to be perfect?

I kinda of hope they do undefeated.....Mannings head will explode from the pressure of the first playoff game. Now that would be a mess.
