i did not compile this, the credit goes to hot_toddy at cowboyszone

I decided to put this together just for fun. Sort of like the Lincoln and JFK coincidences....ENJOY!!!

Tony Romo was born in San Diego, California
Tom Brady was born in San Mateo, California

The Henson Connection...

Tom Brady Supplanted Drew Henson in college.
Tony Romo Supplanted Drew Henson in the NFL.

Both Romo and Brady were preceded by Drew Bledsoe in the pros.

Tom Brady took the starting job from Drew Bledsoe on the 23rd of September.
Tony Romo took the starting job from Drew Bledsoe on the 23rd of October.
...Both were in games against their New York Division Rivals (Giants and Jets).

2007...

Tony Romo's offense is #1 in the NFL in YPG. Tom Brady's offense is 2nd.
Tom Brady's offense is #1 in the NFL in PPG. Tony Romo's offense is 2nd.
...Both teams are 5-0.

The teamates....

Brady's RB, Lawrence Maroney shared carries with Marion Barber III in College.
Romo's RB, Marion Barber now shares carries with Julius Jones in the NFL.
...Both Defenses have only allowed 1 Rushing TD this season.

Romo's #1 receiver is Terrell Owens, who is now a model citizen and great teamate.
Brady's #1 receiver is Randy Moss, who is now a model citizen and great teamate.
....Both Wrs are ranked 4th and 5th respectively is Career Receiving TDs.

The useless comparison.....

The names "Tony Romo" and "Tom Brady" have eight letters.

The Montana connection...

Tom Brady, as a child, enjoyed watching Joe Montana.
Joe Montana, as an adult, enjoys watching Tony Romo.(see below)
...None of the 3 QBs were highly coveted in the NFL draft.

What did Montana tell you?
Romo: He actually said I enjoy watching you. Any time a guy like that says something like that, there are very few times I sit back and go 'Wow,' but that was one of them. I thought that was really amazing.

thats about where the similarities stop, besides dating celebs.
they're style on the field are completely different obviously.

PS

Belichick will make you look like:

Hmmm. Interesting work, whoever put it together. They also forgot to mention that they BOTH play at Quarterback and are BOTH right handed.

ot that they are both humans, walk upright, speak, have opposable thumbs, and are male...

If only the Patriots had the Packers' Ryan Grant, then you could've said Maroney and Barber shared carries in college, Barber shares carries with Julius Jones, who shared carries with Ryan Grant in college.

P.S. Brady is not human.

Tom Brady 3 rings and 2 Super Bowl MVPs
Tony Romo drops a snap in playoff game.

'nuff said:D

One big difference:

Tony Romo is hugely overrated.

What a luxury to have Terrell Owens as wideout so early in one's career.

Tom Brady = 3 Superbowls, 12-2 in the playoffs

Tony Romo = 0 championships, 0 playoff wins

...in the end, isn't that all that matters?

Both Brady and Romo's first names start with the letter "T". Coincidence? I don't think so.

Tom Brady = Performs under pressure.
Tony Romo = Folds under pressure.

Both throw a football.

Both play in the NFL.

Both play for teams with 5 - 0 records

Both played for coaches named Bill.

Both played the Bills.

Wow, the list just goes on and on. This is freaky!

Whoa whoa whoa TR... you mean there's TWO towns in California that start with "San"?

Quell coincidence!

Similar: They both date models and actresses.

Different: In 20 years, nobody will remember Romo, but in 20 years, Brady will be in the Hall of Fame remembered as one of the greatest quarterbacks ever.

Tom Brady : Tony Romo :: Led Zeppelin : Stryper

After 5 games of the 2007 season:

Tom Brady: 16TD 2 INT 74.1 Comp Pct 128.7 Rating

Tony Romo 13TD 8 INT 59.1 Comp Pct 93.9 Rating

Uncanny resemblance.
