there's the young Clayton on the left
cmon, if Brady had the same game, everyone here would be saying "yeah he didn't play great, but he was there when it counted!"
Statboy, if you or anyone else claim that Manning's game was "incredible" you're a fool. Manning played terribly the whole game and did not contribute to them nearly winning that game. Six INTs is one of the best? Give me a break.
I think you need to reread my post, b/c I didn't say anything like that. he did however put his team in a position to win at the end, it's just that his kicker missed a gimme fg he makes almost all the time
he had a poor game, but if Brady had an equally poor one, all we would be talking about is the last drive
Clayton and Manning have something in common.......they both look like fathead chickens
Only idiots would say that.
Maybe if they won, but they didn't. He threw 6 INTs and they lost. What did he do to overcome the situation?
I don't even care if people want to use that as a positive for Manning, but Clayton's statement about how that shows why he is ahead of Brady in the Pro Bowl voting is mindboggling. There is no logical reason why Manning should be ahead of Brady in the Pro Bowl voting. Fans are just idiots.
Tis a new tune I hear this year. Your greatness as a QB is determined by the lack of talent surrounding you, and how well you perform with that lack of talent. Well if theses standard were applied in past years Manning should have NEVER been an MVP. That being said its also obvious to me that there are certain people that want commercial man to be MVP,and will change, bend,or alter past opinions to make it so. And if thats the case Brady should have won multiple MVP's for achieving what he did without being surrounded with very much talent.
he put him team in position to win the game with a very easy FG. is it his fault that AV blew it?
you are placing too much importance on the FG here.
if AV makes it, then are you excusing Manning for his game?
but if he misses it, then all the blame goes to Manning?
Peyton "Tunes" Manning....hey, I like it
They lost because of Manning. When Brady has his 4 INT games that the Patriots inevitably lose, they usually lose because of Brady. It doesn't matter how close the game is, turning the ball over SIX TIMES is equal to losing the game for your team. Let's say it was a running back, if he loses six fumbles but runs for a 50 yard score to bring the team within a score of winning, does he suck or is he showing how great he is?
The idea that a clown like Clayton made the NFL writers HOF discredits the institution.
Yeah but the media would still be having a love fest for manning, and ignore the fact that in the past brady was doing the same things for years with far less talent on a regular basis.
he had bad game, but they lost bc of AV
All though manning has more space to rent for advertising on his forehead.
Not if Clayton would just let it go with that ridiculous comb over.
They lost because of Manning. 6 turnovers is not equal on the "loss scale" with one missed FG.
lol.......he needs to get the hair plucked off his azz and implanted on his head. Next, they need major chin implants. Laser eye surgery......list goes on
Clayton would be #1 candidate for that "Makeover" show. The plastic surgeons would have the toughest challenge in their careers to transform Clayton neck up into Tom Selleck:singing:
No, a lot of us would be saying, "He stunk up the joint, but . . ."
The problem is that a lot of the articles are just, for all practical purposes, ignoring the fact that he threw 6 INTs in the game. To borrow from a CHFF poster, they're trying to give him credit for bringing the fire truck (which is inaccurate, since one of their scores came from a fumble recovery) when he's the one that set the fire in the first place.
He is funny looking isn't he? I always think it's funny that he gets paid a lot of money to criticize the guys who probably tortured him growing up. Good on him, poetic justice I guess.
