Chris Price believes Mayo will play 15-20 snaps on Sunday

A naked slot receiver would certainly affect the game...

Ratings would go through the roof and the FCC fines would set records.

If he is even active, then plays 20 snaps it will be a pretty remarkable recovery for what was described as a sprained knee... may be a tribute to how well conditioned he is.

or it could mean the original reports of a grade 3 MCL were wr-, wr-, wrong.

I don't think it will happen...if anything it might be Denver where he will be used some...I can't see them using a 45 spot on a player that is going to play only a few snaps..NOT in a critical Raven game..I will be surprised if he is active..

let' s see...

So the cheerleaders are finally going to serve a purpose during the games?

Doubtful is not out.

Doubtful is not out, but by NFL definition it is a 75% chance of

not playing. Questionable is a 50-50 chance.

I would so much rather not see him at all untill hes 100% too important to play in a game in october and lose him for the rest

Not sure why we would throw caution to the wind with him if he isn't 100% but if BB and Co. thinks he can go, who am I to argue?

Brilliant strategy. Difficult to tackle a naked slot receiver. Nothing to grab on to.

I don't understand why the injury is supposed to be so severe anyway. To me, it looked like someone just stepped on his foot. I've never seen an injury like that wipe a player out for the season.

Try accelerating sideways while your foot is pinned down, and tell me how your knee feels afterwards.

i dont think mayo or wilfork will play

and welker is 50/50

but i dont think he will play also

It's all to force the Ravens to do more game-planning. I would be stunned to see Mayo on the field.

I personally hope they keep Mayo on the sidelines in street clothes.......

I agree. Let him get completely healed up. No steps back.

Rules changed a couple years ago for the 25% 50% 75%

Now doubtful is the palyer is injured and not likely to play
Probably is the player is injured but likely to play
Questionable is could go eitehr way, basically the same 50-50

They also added a requirement to state if practiced or not, and if the practice was complete or limited.

But BB has nothing to explain (as one poster wrongly said) if Mayo plays, nor does he have to explain if a probable player does.

If there was a trend of playing most doubtful players, or not playing most probable players, he would be told to better describe the situation, but the requirement to describe the player's practices does a better job of letting the other team know if the player is likely to play, and if so, at what capacity.
