If Willis and Nelson were both available at 24 but neither available at 28, who would you take and why?

Willis, without two seconds off the clock! Nelson is a good player, but if either of the two is overhyped it's Nelson. I like him, and would like him on the Pats, but he's not top 14 talent like some think. His game is to one demensional, and he needs to develop better tackling technique. I'll take Willis at 24 (Praying to god he falls to NE), and if Nelson is there at 24 either Nelson or Griffin will still be on the board at 28. The Eagles are the only team between those two picks I could see taking a Safety.

No Brainer. I'd take Willis, and I don't think I'd take Nelson @ 28. JMO.

    #54 Jersey

I would take Willis because at 28 there is a good chance you could get Griffin or Merriweather if you wanted to go the Safety route. If you take Nelson there is no comparable LB available at 28.

I'll keep it unanimous for Willis too, in large part because of this year's depth at Safety.

A saftey could be had @ 91. I have no love for Griffen, Meriweather, Nelson.

    Easily Willis.

He is only viable ILB in the draft and the best ILB in the last five years (if not longer). If he can run a 4.3 40, all the more season to pick him up.

As for Nelson, he is a one dimensional safety that will be a more glorified version of Eugene. Both are playmakers, but neither solve what is missing when Harrison goes down.

Not to mention there are a couple safeties later in the draft that are only marginal downgrades in terms of how they are rated by analysts.

You can't honestly say he is the best in last five years. First of all, he hasn't even played a down in the NFL. Second, you have Vilma. Also, I would put Lofa Tatupu, Nick Barnett, and even last year's DROY DeMarco Ryans, also Andra Davis into consideration before simply labeling a guy the "best" when he hasn't proven anything. Just because he runs fast doesn't mean everything. Plus, many feel that he isn't big enough to play inside in 3-4 defense. He does possess physical talent and that's all you can conclude as of now.

Now that I've cleaned up the coffee I spit out all over my keyboard, thanks for saying what needed to be said.

Secondly, Willis over Nelson at 24 if that's the only option.

    No Jersey Selected

Willis, for all the reasons previously stated by everyone else.

This is ass-u-ming, of course, that Landry, Hall and Revis are already gone.
