Interesting that the Baltimore OL is 22nd on the "Offensive Hogs" list and that the Pats hold the same position on the "Defensive Hogs" list. Maybe we don't have that much to fear from the Ravens' run game this year.

There are a number of playoff teams who top the OH list (including the #1 Pats):

1 New England
2 Tampa Bay
3 Houston
4 New Orleans
5 Atlanta
6 N.Y. Jets
7 Indianapolis
8 Detroit
9t Kansas City
9t N.Y. Giants
11 Philadelphia
12 Dallas
13 San Diego
14 Pittsburgh
15 Jacksonville
16t Green Bay
16t Tennessee
18 Buffalo
19 Oakland
20 Cincinnati
21 Miami
22t Baltimore
22t Minnesota
24 Cleveland
25 Denver
26 St. Louis
27 Washington
28t Arizona
28t Seattle
30 San Francisco
31 Carolina
32 Chicago

Not all of the top Defensive Hogs are contenders, though. Many of these teams were absolutely gashed by the Pats:

1t Pittsburgh
1t San Diego
3 N.Y. Giants
4 N.Y. Jets
5 Miami
6 Chicago
7t Oakland
7t St. Louis
9 Philadelphia
10t Green Bay

10t San Francisco
12 Carolina
13 New Orleans
14 Arizona
15 Detroit
16 Kansas City
17t Baltimore
17t Dallas
19 Cleveland
20 Tennessee
21 Minnesota
22 New England
23 Cincinnati
24 Houston
25 Atlanta
26t Seattle
26t Washington
28 Indianapolis
29 Denver
30 Tampa Bay
31 Jacksonville
32 Buffalo

Adding the rank for both OH and DH for each of the playoff contenders, we get:

Jests 10
Pitt 15
NO 17
Philly 20
NE 23
KC 25
GB 26
Atlanta 30
Chicago 38
Indy 35
Bal 39
Sea 54

Meh. I guess the CHFF stats don't tell the whole story. This implies that the Jests and Steelers are the most balanced up front and that Baltimore is the second weakest. Still, interesting to see that the Pats beat up on some tough lines on both sides.

Dominate the air wars, dominate on the scoreboard. And over the past six weeks nobody has dominated the passing battles on both sides of the ball like New England.

Other than the first Jets game, the Pats ran pretty well against the playoff contenders we faced.

1t Pittsburgh Pats: 103 yds rushing
4 N.Y. Jets Pats: 52 and 101 yds rushing
6 Chicago Pats 124 yds rushing
10t Green Bay 113 yds rushing
17t Baltimore Pats 127 yds rushing
28 Indianapolis Pats 168 yds rushing

Jet's ... 7th .... .... .... 7th .... that's a gift.
