Cheney can't recall 72 times.....I think a good water boarding is in order. I'm sure That would help refresh his memory.

Cheney FBI interview: 72 instances of can't recall - Yahoo! News

WASHINGTON – Federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald famously declared in the Valerie Plame affair that "there is a cloud over the vice president." Last week's release of an FBI interview summary of Dick Cheney's answers in the criminal investigation underscores why Fitzgerald felt that way.

On 72 occasions, according to the 28-page FBI summary, Cheney equivocated to the FBI during his lengthy May 2004 interview, saying he could not be certain in his answers to questions about matters large and small in the Plame controversy.

The Cheney interview reflects a team of prosecutors and FBI agents trying to find out whether the leaks of Plame's CIA identity were orchestrated at the highest level of the White House and carried out by, among others, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, Cheney's chief of staff.

Of course the FBI already knew that Armitage had talked to Novak and given him Plame's name. Armitage was a critic of Cheney and his policies.

Without regard for what anyone allegedly knew or allegedly did not know, does this justify the actions of Herr Richard??? Sounds a lot like Richard Nixon redux... selective memory at its finest.

If being critical of someone's performance or policy means you're unreliable and suspect Fox News has certainly lost all credibility - as has Sarah Palin.

Debate over. The words "Fox News" have been invoked within three posts. Impressive. Just like a three move check mate in Chess. Well played, but did you have to rub it in with "Sarah Palin"?

Since Armitage was know to be the leaker by the FBI why interview Cheney at all, also since Cheney had nothing to do with the leak, it is not surpsising he knew little about it.

But better for dems to have this in the news than the current unemployment numbers.

Did not think the Republicans were focused on that either, take a good look at this board it is devoid of the jobless numbers on both sides...

Without regard "do not recall" has been an age old mantra of the Republicans... lets see Richard Nixon, Ollie North, Larry Craig, Rush Limbaugh "do not recall how that viagra got in my bag".. it goes on and either they are just really dumb or they take too much pain relievers... oh wait a minute.

You left out the Clinton years where people lied to their diaries.

BTW why leak this now since we know that Cheney had nothing to do with the leak to Novak.

Will Holder appoint a Prosecutor to investigate this illegal leak of an FBI Interview?
