CARACAS, Venezuela - President Hugo Chavez on Sunday threatened to cut off oil sales to the United States in an "economic war" if Exxon Mobil Corp. wins court judgments to seize billions of dollars in Venezuelan assets.

Exxon Mobil has gone after the assets of state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela SA in U.S., British and Dutch courts as it challenges the nationalization of a multibillion dollar oil project by Chavez's government.

A British court has issued an injunction "freezing" as much as $12 billion in assets.

"If you end up freezing (Venezuelan assets) and it harms us, we're going to harm you," Chavez said during his weekly radio and television program, "Hello, President." "Do you know how? We aren't going to send oil to the United States. Take note, Mr. Bush, Mr. Danger."

Chavez has repeatedly threatened to cut off oil shipments to the United States, which is Venezuela's No. 1 client, if Washington tries to oust him. Chavez's warnings on Sunday appeared to extend that threat to attempts by oil companies to challenge his government's nationalization drive through lawsuits.

"I speak to the U.S. empire, because that's the master: continue and you will see that we won't sent one drop of oil to the empire of the United States," Chavez said Sunday.

He is sounding crazier every time he speaks.
He and Bush are a lethal combination. Neither one knows a thing about diplomacy. They both spend all their efforts threatening each other. They're the same. One is in Venezuela, the other in Washington. This sucks for everyone that has to live under these retards.

    What was the fourth

I was probably wrong about Liberals liking Hitler but they sure do have a "love affair" with Castro & Chavez and they gave that little f-cking creep from Iran a standing ovation when he visited one of the Loony left Wing Colleges....

Liberals have a tendency to admire ANY enemy of America.

I don't think it's likely that Chavez would cut off oil supplies to the US. Without the billions that we pay him for his oil, Venezuela would suffer more poverty and social unrest.

Right. And then we'll be buying oil from the suppliers the Chinese are abandoning by shifting so many of their purchases to Venezuela. Funny how that works, huh..?

Tells you a lot about the admin when we can't even get along with our vendors. You may hate the direction America is going in; but as of today anyway we still have giant piles of cash to spend on things like oil. That ought to put us in the driver's seat when it comes to nations like Venezuela. It always seemed to before. Previous governments had zero or minor problems with this nation that still needs OUR money. I wonder what's different about this one that's bringing on these constant hassles?

Yeah, we've never had an administration in America that had problems with an oil producing nation... nope... never... it's been peaches and cream for 50+ years....

This is nothing but bluster and rhetoric. Chavez knows he'll never do what he is bluffing... he just loves seeing all the moonbats in America get all up in arms - because they're the only people on the planet that actually take him seriously.

There are plenty of buyers out there, and Chavez can easily sell to them instead. But you watch as imperialst America turn up the heat. How phucking arrogant. What business does Big Oil have in freezing another nation's assets amid the "global" free market? My goodness do we desperately need to get over ourselves.

No, it's not all about oil or anything. There's plenty of oil. ...
