He plays for the BC Lions as of this past year.

Visiting sometime in the next few days, per his agent:

I think his agent means in leaping from the CFL to NFL.

Well, Cameron Wake is only Cameron Wake because his real name is a bit of a joke name in Canada.

Cameron Wake's real name is Derek Wake.

Maybe Rick should change his name to something else to make the transformation complete. I suggest Bob or Doug.

Sign him up; what do we have to lose? This (lack of) pass-rush needs all the help it can get.

No, I was speculating if he was going to be the next Cameron Wake. I didn't even read the story, so I don't know what people are saying about him.

Not really, because all I know is that there was a negative connotation to the name "Derek" in Canada, so he changed his first name to Cameron.

Wake is a Penn State guy.

I hope he's the next Cameron Wake on passing downs. The guy is a helluva pass rusher. On running downs, I hope he's much better than Wake.

As a CFL fan, Foley is definitely not as good as Wake, and stood in his shadows the past two seasons previous to this one and finally got his opportunity in 2009.

I don't think he's the type of guy we will be looking for.

LMAO! A negative connotation to the name Derek in Canada! What a freaking joke. As I'm sure any of the Canadians here will tell you, there is nothing negative about the name Derek up here in the Great White North.

As a Vancouverite, I can tell you that there is nothing to see here, move on. He was a back up to Wake when Wake was still here.

    Next free agent, please.

I read an article about it.

I can't remember the exact detail but apparently there was some Canadian TV dhow with an annoying kid named Derek in it, and everyone was annoyed.
