Mondo Bizarro.. hard to figure this one out, hopefullly it was a crime of passion and not a crime against someone doing their job... without regard, another senseless killing.. fed on the dead man's chest is a pretty elaborate way to commit suicide.. or ????

Wasn't Clay County one of Jesse Jame's Haunts.. upon further review there are Clay County's all over the place.

The Associated Press: AP source: Census worker hanged with 'fed' on body

Questions surround Laurel County man's death

Yeah because meth labs are what immediately spring to mind when you think of a guy working on demographics that affect voting rights, found dead by hanging in a rural area, dare I say it, in the south.

Eh, you may end up being right.

Or, you may have a moment of clarity on your hands, when you recognize what a lot of the "anti-government" anger is still about, ever since those bad government people guarded the schools to let different colors of children learn together, despite the pleas of the "downtrodden" segregationist.

Now then -- if this is a suicide, or someone comes up with a meth lab, sorry to have jumped to conclusions. Indeed, I haven't done so. But I have a gut feeling too, and it ain't pretty.

Hope you're right. Drugs would be a pretty comforting explanation.

I hope this guy was murdered.... Men that asphyxiate themselves while waxing the dolphin, are often found in a not to flattering position. When I say hope I mean as an alternative, because he's already dead.

Seems like a big jump to say he was murdered. Bein' 51 and basically unemployed isn't exactly what the guy had in mind 30 years ago I bet. I say we let the authorities, including the FBI if they think its worth a look, do their jobs before jumping to conclusions.

Some people just can't live without mentioning race.

How old are you, RW?

You are aware that race and lynchings in this country have a historical correlation, I hope?

You are also aware, I would hope, that in very recent history racists have used the symbol of the noose to intimidate African Americans?

Let me know if these two facts have somehow never made an appearance on your radar screen.

That's where race was "brought up" in this context, not my pointing it out.

I'm old enough to know that a lot of people in this forum need to get a life. Some people, from both sides of the isle mind you, can't get through a single thread without mentioning race, or racism, in some way.

Yeah, some white guy is hanging from a tree in Kentucky, and we need to to be reminded that nooses were once used to intimidate black people at some point in time. I gotcha.

The Stein Murder Confession: Marijuana Smoke, A Yoga Stick, Kellogg's Diner
According to Police Commissioner Ray Kelly’s press conference just now, Natavia Lowery confessed to killing 62-year-old broker to the stars, Linda Stein. In her confession, he said, Ms. Lowery told police that on the afternoon of the Tuesday she was murdered, Stein had been yelling at her 26-year-old assistant. Stein twice blew marijuana smoke in her assistant’s face, Commissioner Kelly said, even though the assistant complained it was making her ill.

Stein, according to Ms. Lowery, yelled profanities at her and waved what Commissioner Kelly called a “yoga stick”--essentially an exercise bar. Then, Ms. Lowery grabbed the stick and struck Stein six or seven times.

Police first interviewed Ms. Lowery on the day after Stein’s death, Halloween. Then yesterday she called complaining about media presence outside of her Brooklyn home. So she was taken for a chat at Kellogg’s Diner in Williamsburg; then, according to Commissioner Kelly, Ms. Lowery was driven to a precinct, where she confessed to Stein’s murder.

Keep flailing in your hysterics. But your work here did nothing for your insane premise, crazy person.

Not one of your links makes a correlation between murder rates and pot smoking frequency. Not one. Meanwhile, murder rates due to other drugs are beyond debate -- alcohol and cocaine chief among them.

Pointing out a couple of isolated incidents does not make a case for you. I know you want it to be true, but your argument is dead in the water.

Pot pacifies people. It does NOT generally make them violent. Pot and alcohol mixed? That's another story.

Stop talking. Or perhaps we can share a few links showing how many people organized religion has killed on the course of time.

Some might call an argument based on a couple of isolated incidents, anecdotal evidence.. which has 0 credibility in a knowledge based world.

Struck another nerve with you we see. How it pains you so to be called yet again and found 100% WRONG. Which is why NOBODY here EVER believes a word you say. EVER. :D ( I would say "boy, do you ever suck at this" , but I have more class than that.)

Some people HAVE done a lot of killing in the past in the name of religion, but NOT as any religion's founders prescribed -- I'm not saying believers are perfect by any means -- but if you want to go over to what NON-believers have done in just the past 100 years you'd better get in a roll cage with full armor plating 'cause you're gonna get hammered. So to speak. ;)

Once again, I wasn't wrong, and you cherry picked a few instances and hailed victory for yourself. It's what you do.

You should probably get some of your own material. Using mine, when in fact you are the epitomy of zero credit around here, only makes you appear more and more desperate.

Boy, do you ever suck at this.

Love how you put a 100 year cap on it. How convenient.

Religion kills people. Pot does not. I know that makes your head go pop to have to hear, but history shows I'm correct.

You're a hysterical, repressive religious zealot who bilks people of their money and autonomy, and I'm a voice of pragmatic, deduction-based reality based on fact.

Another Fogic argument swirling down the drain. ... Do try and get over it. And smoke a fatty... You, of all people, desperately need some pacifism.

Hey, you're actually Keith Odorman, aren't you???? 'fess up now!! I detect the same smarmy arrogance, the same "I'm always right and can never be wrong" spoiled brat personality!!! ;)

Well, Keith, if it's any consolation: I used to think you were funny back when you did sports!! :p

100 year "cap" .... Yeah, well, since institutionalized atheism has only been relevant for the past 100 years or so we only get to see its effects since then: the Bolsheviks' holocaust of 1917-1991; the Maoist communist slaughters of some 100 million from 1936-present; the other fruits of Castro, Ho, Pol Pot, Che, et. al. All totaled: some 250 MILLION dead by atheism. If you want to talk about slaughter in recent history, THAT'S where to start. Deal with the present; you'll be a better man for it.

"Religions" themselves kill NOBODY these day. Drugs, including the effects of pot, kill millions each year.

Let me try this again now that I have a grip.

Is it open to interpretation?
Is it a left wing conspiracy?
Is it a right wing conspiracy?
Was it the KKK?
Was it Tea baggers?
Is there some correlation between the two week gap of this hitting the news cycle and the UN speech?
Have you ever been to Kentucky?

It was intended as a counterpoint, as the topic got way off track... it shows the difference in perspective as to what may have happened, and how the world works for some..

Thank you... My best thought of Kentucky is rock climbing in The Red River Gorge.. Which is part of the Daniel Boone Forest. Now we are off track again.
