So, we taxpayers pay the congressional budget office to make estimations on spending, and Boener can simply brush it off as their opinion, offering up no evidence to support his claim that their figures are false?

From the CBO: Rescinding the federal law to overhaul the health care system, the first objective of House Republicans who ascended to power this week, would ratchet up the federal deficit by about $230 billion over the next decade and leave 32 million more Americans uninsured, according to congressional budget analysts.

From Boener: "CBO is entitled to their opinion"

    now go cry, you alcoholic!

Anyone who believes tha the health care reform bill will reduce the deficit, and not add to it, is truly on meds. The plan is designed to fail, first and foremost. The numbers are constantly changing on what it will cost too. Just look at the program it was modeled after, which is RomneyCare here in Massachusetts. How's that cost prediction, versus cost reality working out for ya? This plan is gimmick policy. Same as we passed here in Mass.

The CBO is flawed because it can only use the numbers that it's given. Garbage in, garbage out. If accurate numbers were provided we all know the results would be different. How different ? Who knows but the $230B number is simply not accurate in the real world although I'm sure it's accurate based on the inputs they were given.

Understood, but its no reason for Boener to dismiss it as an opinion, when his dismissal is based on no evidence whatsoever.

If the Republicans were smart, which they aren't, they would have CBO score it again based on the Republican assumptions. It would produce an equally flawed result but at last they could get the $230B monkey off their back when discussing this.

As we said at the time - often on both sides - the bill sucks and does no good. It shuffles money and payments around but does nothing to reduce the cost of healthcare. Until the cost per unit of healthcare is reduced the problem cannot be solved.

When the CBO sides with what the GOP wants its correct, when the CBO sides with what the Dem's want its false.

Its Washington politics at its finest:bricks: Same story same song different verse.

Its ok when the GOP flubs the numbers, its not ok when the Dem's flub the numbers.

Its ok when the GOP spends like a drunk sailor, its not ok when the Dem's spend like drunken idiots.

Anyone notice a pattern??? Need to kick both there asses to the curb....
