Unfortunately Republicans have no arguement to make on huge spending sprees but as bad as it has been with George, it would be stunning with the combination of Obama and a very Liberal congress.

We thought the same thing for Billy Clinton ... and he did good with the deficit. Let's be honest here ... George Bush has been the liberals liberal when it came to spending $$$. That's why it's such a travesty how iraq came to be. Bush gave Congress all the pork they wanted for a "yes" Iraq vote ... blood $$$.

Because he's a really smart business guy, the kind of guy people in the business world look up to--like Warren Buffet, and because he's not a party line guy.

Let's not forget that for Clinton's first two years he was trying to spend money like crazy. For his remaining six years he was dealing with an actually conservative Republican majority that forced him to deal with this stuff--and let him take the credit for it.

Because Democrats seem to think it's a big deal when Warren Buffet supports Obama.

As a.paul already said, Clinton didn't have the numbers in Congress that Obama would have.

You mean like Alan Greenspan? You didn't seem to care what he had to say.....

Ummm...no, nothing like Greenspan. I'm talking about a guy who's actually made himself a billionaire--and made lots and lots of money for other people as well.

You really have no idea who this guy is, do you?

Nope and I don't care. If you're gonna dismiss Buffett and Greenspan out of hand then I'll do the same with this guy.

Show me one...ONE instance where I've dismissed Buffet out of hand? In fact, show me one instance I've commented on Buffet at all. And how can you compare Buffet and/or Icahn to Greenspan?

Besides which, I've given examples of why I don't like Greenspan and his monetary policy.

There's only one way to find out, Elect Him and turn him loose, within two years even Oprah will want him impeached and thrown out of the country.
