Any ideas on how your numbers and "the CZAR's" are off over 4 million?

Could it be more roster bonuses like you mentioned regarding Bruschi?

It has to be. Plus, Czar's numbers could not include the cap space created by releasing Rivers and James so my numbers are off by about $2.5 million.

Thanks Miguel.

This was the most interesting blurb in the piece though it has nothing to do with the cap beyond how the Pat's saved $1.5M against the cap by cutting the 6th WR:

"New England at N.Y. Jets: There is nothing funnier than how both of these teams went about preparing for this game by bringing in players from the other team in order to pick their mind about their former team's operating procedures. The Jets asked former New England receiver Reche Caldwell, the goat in last year's playoff loss to the Colts, about Tom Brady's audible calls and checks at the line of scrimmage. Caldwell has an ax to grind, being released because of New England's acquisitions of Randy Moss and Wes Welker after leading the Patriots in receptions last year. Pats OLB Mike Vrabel had this to say on whether Caldwell could really help the Jets. "Reche barely knew our offense, so I know he doesn't know our defense," Vrabel said. "That's the end of that question." It was said coyly, leaving one to interpret. On Friday, the Pats brought in Tim Dwight for a visit after he was cut by the Jets. Dwight was giving up whatever he remembered about Chad Pennington's line checks and audibles. Both teams apparently were working on Saturday on changing their offensive lingo for this game. Jets RB Thomas Jones (calf) is expected to start despite missing most of the preseason.

 Those smart players Bill is drawn to can also be pretty adept at the verbal retort.
