The thing about an uncapped year and spending more money that year, and that is outside the business model yudda yudda yudda--is that the contracts would be of equal value to what they would be once you extend them over a period of time, they would just be heavy in the FIRST year.
That is my thinking on why Kraft would say something like he welcomes an uncapped year, as had been discussed on here before.
5 year deal worth $40 Million gauranteed call it. $8 Million a year? No. They would do it something like 16, 5, 5, 7, 7 or something like that.
That is why you make the cap room NOW to trade for Peppers, or sign Taylor. There is no reason why they can't "sign and trade" as I've read before.
Then they sign Seymour and Wilfork to long-term front loaded contracts next year.
