What makes it even worse is that he somehow managed to not only win the SB (and beat us twice in 2011), but he managed to secure the MVP both times as well.

That is just sickening.

Well, he won't beat us in the Superbowl this year.

Can't fault eli, like him better than his brother by a lot and he played out of this world in both bowl runs. If anyones to blame its rodney harrison for allowing the tyree helmet catch and welker for the dropped easy catch in the other super bowl.

Say whatever you want, this guy owns pats.
And as long as he's the starting QB for your team, your team has a better chance of winning the World Cup rather than the Lombardi trophy. He's horrid and outside of 2 fairy dust seasons for which he and his team deserve credit, he's pretty much always been horrid. I dislike both the Jets and the Giants and I hope Rex never gets fired and Eli never gets replaced. America's Royal Family had better hope the Giants never ditch Eli because if they do, his career as a starter in the NFL will be mercifully over.

Can't say I am sorry to see them go.

The guy is mediocre regular season but lights it up post-season. Showing up big in big games is great, but you have to get there first. If the team (defense) cannot carry him there, then he poses no threat. 82 QB rating in today's game is pretty mediocre.

His goal was a 70% completion percentage at the beginning of the season, and he didn't quite make it. At least he broke 60% (with a career high 63.2% and a huge improvement over last year's 57.5%).

Can't remember who mentioned this on Twitter but the Pats play the NFC East next year. They've made it to the Super Bowl each of the last three time's that's happened: 03, 07 and 11. Kind of hoping the Giants continue to suck next year.

Lets hope they Dump SHEli and COUGH

Proof positive that God exists, and he has a sick, twisted sense of humor.

So if the refs had possessed the stones to make the obvious holding call on the Tyree play,

or if Tyree had failed to make a catch that was dramatically out of line with any achievements he made either before or after that (his career can be considered to be that of a poor man's Brian Tyms)

or if we didn't drop an INT,

or if Welker had caught that one particular ball,

would Eli still "own" us?

Maybe he has benefited from a lot of very lucky and even unlikely breaks.

Why would you blame Rodney for the Tyree catch when that was Asante's man?

But none of that happened. You can debate "what-ifs" until the cows come home but the Patriots are still 0-2 vs the Giants in the Belichick era.

That much is obvious, as least in regard to postseason records.

But we were discussing whether Eli personally deserves to be cited for "owning the Pats".

In such a discussion it is perfectly reasonable to consider how much of that 2-0 record is due to sheer brilliance by Eli or (more likely IMO) due to just plain dumb luck.

"As long as he's the starting QB for your team, your team has a better chance of winning the World Cup rather than the Lombardi trophy."? He's won 2 Lombardi trophies.
