well, once i witnessed them (first hand), steal the election in Nov. of 2000 in the state of Florida, they definitely made me much more political and an advocate for exposing their corrupt goals.

    i thank them for that.

I'm not your friend, and it most certainly was. Wanna create a thread about it? I never tire of that subject.

I don't rely on Government to improve my situation. That being said I can't complain where I am now as opposed to 8 years ago. It's due to my actions as opposed to the actions of any Government though.

Unfortunately, Factcheck, nor the media consortium recount, never counted all ballots.

As for your final point, i have little love for the Dem party... But they had no Boy King and PNAC cohorts on their ticket. Slight problem there.

I have always viewed government to be a hindrance to success rather than a help.

If you want to start a new thread about the Florida election please do. I for the life of me don't know what is left to debate on the matter that hasn't already been settled by reasonable people. It was a narrow victory but a victory none the less.

They have not done a whole lot for me, they led us to war, they continue to polarize the nation, this current election has been reduced to a shyt fight with McCain and Palin leading the way to hysteria, they have effected our local taxes, they have increased our national debt.. they have done an ok job on national security in some areas, but in many areas missed the mark..

One good thing for me is that these folks have made me politically more astute and more active than ever..

The Culture War has been the single most destructive act this country has seen in some time...

It is what is tearing this country apart, and it is what will be the fall of America.

Same here, though like so many Americans I can't say I'm overly thrilled with either party right now. I'm wondering if this present crisis will lead to the third party system being taken more seriously, perhaps playing a more significant role in the future than it traditionally has so far.

Pretty much separated those that can from those that can't, I think that is a good thing. Others may disagree.

I am sad we didn't have a strong leadership that could have prevented us from this global meltdown , i still think we missed the opportunity to look for and chose the real PRIORITIES to protect our interests . Our leaders failed us.
