The NFL Network has been replaying games from the 2007 season every sunday. I cant watch any games from the 2007 season without wanting to throw up in my mouth.

I can enjoy the 1985 and 1996 seasons, getting to the SB was so great those years. But its like 2007 will always have this surreal quality to it.

You know how it ends, so it brings little joy.

all i can say is i cant wait for 2008 to begin so we can just get back to normal.

I found watching the regualr season games have been great...just witnessing the awesome power of our offense was STILL shocking.

But, I will not be watching any of the playoff games.

It's like watching a homemade video of you and your girlfriend having the best day of your life, only for her to be brutally murdered at the end of the video.

Or it's just an amazing 18 games and 59 minutes

    Still too tough for me.

If one enjoys watching football games for the football playing itself, many of the 2007 games should still be quite enjoyable. Right?

If one doesn't give a crap about the ins-and-outs of the game and the play-by-play competition, and one is hung up on something else, like the missed opportunity of a championship, of course, enjoyment will be severely limited.

That said, games from the championship-winning seasons will probably be a bit more enjoyable, because of the already-known happy outcome.

But the klunkers will still klunk.

    Just my .02

Another Superbowl victory or two or three), but at least one, will enable the pain from Denver>Indy>Phoenix to be overcome. Once that happens, then I think I can go back and watch games from those seasons without throwing up all over the place.

I enjoy watching the games. It was a disappointing end to the season (historically so) but disappointment is a part of life. I was happy when those games were won, and I have a similar excitement watching them now. If, as many say, the singular goal of a football fan is to have their team win the superbowl, then why watch the regular season at all? Save time and only watch the final game of the season (if your team wins, you're happy; if not, you're not).

The 2007 Patriots had the greatest regular season ever, broke scoring records (including one of Peyton Crybaby's) and came inches/seconds away from having the greatest team ever. I enjoy that for all its worth (which is a lot).

Think about this: would you rather be a Giant's fan last year, because they achieved their ultimate goal? I certainly wouldn't.

I would not want to be a Giants fan, personally. It would require only cheering for the team after they win a Super Bowl.

Honestly, I don't think I had seen one since 1990. Maybe a couple before the Ravens SB, but they disappeared really quickly.

It's a silly question, although I understand how soon it is to do so. Eventually, it will be looked back upon with rosy memories.

I will always view the '07 season as a great, we lost the superbowl it was painful.. but greatly confident we will be back as good and great as ever.. remember the early 90's or the 80's... this is a great stretch..

For the simple fact that there is football on tv to watch (not some mutant form like the CFL or Arena league), I am more than willing to watch games from 07. Before NFL-N, the barren desert of NFL football that is typically June, was almost unbearable.

I have all 19 games from last season but I've yet to watch a single one, until tonight. Inspired by another thread I pulled out the Jets game, started watching it, shut it off after like 30 minutes, and I have no idea why. I'm not too happy that I feel this way because I miss football and those were some awesome games!

Normally I start needing some football around this time of year and I'll pop in a few old games, the Games To Glory, the 21 Game Streak DVD, or the America's Game DVD's. I haven't done any of that this offseason except for watching the Story Of The 01 Patriots and part of the 07 Jets game.:bricks:

The Jets game was pretty cool tho... apparently Mangini had planned out this whole sneaky surprise defensive scheme but it took the team quite awhile to get organized out on the field. BB finally called them for 12 men :D

It was interesting too- I'd forgotten about that loooong drive by the Pats (17+ plays ). Then Hanson bobbles the ball just a bit before he kicks it, he's blocked by a Jet who gets the ball and trotted right in for the TD. That was the game where Tommy threw to Moss even tho Wes, Gaffney, and Faulk were open.

I dunno-I shut it off. Maybe I'll start with the Chargers game or something, because I really do want to rewatch some of those incredible games again-this time from another perspective. So far I haven't been very successful:cool:

God, that's a painful trilogy. Amazing to think that the last three years ended on such huge disasters. Each one seemingly worse than the next.

Any good memory of 2007 leads to the Super Bowl, so when I think or see anything 2007 related I soon try to put it out of my mind. Anything great about 2007, the records, etc was part of a larger frabric - a bigger story that included the Super Bowl and a historic undefeated season.

50 tds, the SD game, the Indy game, Eagles & Ravens. Ugh.

Who would have thought the loss in Denver would have been the least painful playoff loss of this era?

They can't just end every year with a crushing loss, can they? One of these years, it's got to end on a positive, right?

It only hurts if you're a fan.

Of course, the bigger a fan you are, the more it hurts. :) / :bricks:

G-Damn it we need to see this team win another Superbowl.

I really have to believe BB & Brady & Co. are as motivated as they can possibly be to do just that - or, is it only us fans???

What happened during the regular season should be toasted for the achievement of an undefeated regular season. What occured in the playoff season unfortunately diminishes the regular season achievement.

As we all know, the real season starts in the post-season and unless the cookies are won, prior achievement matters for little.

    Proud yes, frustrated still..

I'll happily watch all of the 07 season's games up to the AFC Championship game, especially now, with absolutely no normal football to watch (and how strange is that Arena football thing?). The AFCCG I'll watch occaisonally, but I still can't watch any part of the Super Bowl. Still too painful.

But I do enjoy the regular season games, particularly the regular season San Diego and Giants games and the Indy and Dallas games.

I generally don't write on the boards but just look to see the lastest news on the team. As far as last season goes, I will always have fond memories despite the last 30 seconds (Quite often I still relive in my mind that 2nd down pass that Moss just missed that would have won the game at the end). I still believe that last year's Patriots team was the most dominant team I've ever seen in any sport in my lifetime. I've never been so awe-inspired by a team in any sport as I was watching this offense work last year. Although I was heartbroken by the Giant's last drive, that event does not outweigh the whole body of work in my opinion, not by a longshot, and I believe hindsight will prove that.
