Anti-Gay Lawmaker At Gay Club Before DUI Arrest - cbs13.com

So, you oppose same sex marriage? Fine.
So, you oppose gay rights? Fine.

So you drink and drive too?

So you drink and drive coming home from Gay bars?

So you drink and drive coming home from Gay bars, with another man in your car?

    So.....You are a Moron?

Without even reading the article... I assume he is a republican? It just fits the profile...

Right, just like Massa is a Republican too . . . or not.

What is up with you today ? Dems are just as dirty and slimy, we Conservatives just don't start a new thread every time something happens with one of them like the Liberals do.

BF, have you been on this board lately? You don't post every day, but you have a few that every time Obama, Pelosi, Reed, or anyone sneezes it's on the board making up some evil story about them.

I'm not even a fan of the Democrats, I'm a conservative, I just insanely hate the GOP and it's lock and step followers. Hate is a strong word, I laugh at them..

    Back on the Topic
All i'm saying is that the profile for getting caught in men's bathroom stalls, fondeling boys, and opposing gay marriage and rights is a patern in the Republican party.

Being gay, or exploring gay "feelings" is not exclusively a Republican thing. Just publicaly denouncing the thing they get caught for doing is...

I wouldn't say it's a pattern, although there are a few outliers. I have no problem with an anti gay person being gay. You can know something is wrong and do it anyway. I'm a nail biter. It sucks. I tell my kids not to but I do it anyway. Just because I do it doesn't mean I want others to.

Bingo me too, i have a lot of conservative values but the BS that is thrown around is just to much. What are the odds that six to eight people could all get on here and say the same thing almost verbatum? I've seen it over and over again... The new code word is "UNIONS" all of a sudden in the last month or so all unions are bad, its unions that are crippling the country . Sounds like old style corporate union bashing.

obama and the squeaker are just too easy and they're 1 and 3 in power in the country. There's a little difference between them and Ashburn (who's district I live in, btw).

YEs, but you don't publically call for nail bitters to be banned from doing it, or preventing those who do it from not doing it on all public places, etc...

    That's the big difference.

I'm all for anything anyone wants to do unless it impeeds on other persuit of happiness, however when you decry one thing, only to do it when no one is looking is the height of hypocracy and the GOP tends to win in the Hypocrite score.

Yeah don't change the subject which was the hypocrisy of saying that the ultra-conservatives here are innocent of the same behavior.

Well, nail biting isn't that significant - it's just the biggest fault I have :D

The point remains the same, it may be hypocritical but leaders should point others in the right direction even if they can't stop themselves.

BTW, no-one is trying to get gays banned, we just don't want to encourage it by having the government recognize it as equal to a heterosexual partnership. But I'm not going any further with that, I've been through it way too many times here.

I deliberately left out the fact that he was a republican.

now that the cat is out of the closet...err...bag...

It seems that those who scream the loudest about being against gay rights, are gay republicans.

To me that says a lot about the narrowness of the party.

This dude has been lying to his family, and his voters for years.

    Roy Ashburn,

    You're exposed!

This is typical behavior from the party of personal responsibility. It's the party of self-denial and self-loathing, but frankly if I was Republican I'd be self-loathing too.

Maybe I need clarification of what an ad hominen attack is, but my understanding is that it is not a response to the content of the post instead choosing to attack the poster?? Isn't that the gyst of it??..

But if a moderator posts these comments I am probably wrong..
