The Patriots are scheduled to host free-agent center Al Johnson on a visit Friday, according to Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic.

Johnson, who appeared in four games for the Dolphins in 2008 (no starts), was last a starter with the Arizona Cardinals in 2007. Johnson was a high-priority free-agent signing for Arizona prior to the 2007 season, but his time with the Cardinals was cut short by a knee injury.

Johnson (6-5, 305) spent the first four years of his career with the Dallas Cowboys.

Free agent C/G Al Johnson will visit with the Patriots Thursday night.
Johnson, 30, has bad knees but New England is searching for versatile depth on the interior line. He'd likely only compete for a 53-man roster spot

I guess it couldn't hurt but most likely "he'd likely only compete for a 53-man roster spot."

I looked at this quick and thought it said CALvin Johnson to visit

Me too. Johnson was regarded very highly after his rookie year, and then got injured I believe.
